Certainly a difficult subject matter to tackle, 1915 took a horrific history and juxtaposed it with the modern struggles that Armenians face in the modern day using the story of a man and wife deciding how to (and whether to) face their fears within a theatrical play set in Los Angeles. The directors did a phenomenal job using the mystery of the plot to play back the decision that our community is struggling with today. Do we 'move on' or do we face our pain, and for each, at what cost? The beauty of the movies lies within the question and the ability for you to decide for yourself. A difficult subject matter, it is the best movie yet on this topic.

A mass of confusion for this viewer. The story seems to bounce around between - the horrible 1915 genocide of Armenians, a haunted theatre, a love triangle, political protesters, arguing actors, a frustrated director, police, how to sell tickets for a one night performance, a possible murder plot, and an actress that can channel the dead.I got lost in this story. I was hoping for some insight into the 1915 massacre innocent people but nothing like that happens. The entire story is more about Simon's ego than bringing to the public knowledge a horror that happened 100 years ago.A very odd movie.

this kind of deconstructionist lies and distorted view of the past from a fully biased point of view...it is only natural to assume that genocide is just a lie to mask the hypocrisy of the armenians who stabbed the Turkish people from the back while the turks were fighting for their country against the imperialists..armenians saw an opportunity and started to slaughter the Turkish villagers women and children (as evidenced in Turkey's archives, which the armenianss refuse to look at). and naturally Turkish government tried to move them from the area..if it were a genocide, it would not be uttered this late..THINK..algerians..indians..all of them were slaughtered massacred by west countries, exploited without a war out there..but it becomes genocide to try to move the old friend-new enemy to a secure place..

I downloaded the movie in HD through the official website, expecting a historical drama about the Armenian genocide. Instead, what I watched was a a thrilling psychological movie with a message and intended for a wide audience, be it Turk, Armenian or other. It was beautiful to watch a movie that could break boundaries and make you think deep. I agree it's not for everybody, everyone can have their own perception but I understand the importance of such movies. The Armenian genocide of 1915 affected real people and their ancestors, the movie talks about real experience in a contemporary world. watch it. I also recommend the soundtrack, it was beautiful and I found out that Serj Tankian was the musical director. The music played a good role in putting me in the vibe and I felt something very strong at the end of it all.
