I had seen lots of gay themed films, but this one was different and way better I felt. This was not about the romance, sex or the social struggle, it was about the friendship and nothing else. When one of four friends reveal that he's a gay, how the remaining three reacts to it and what are all damages done to their longstanding friendship is the film.I don't know any of these actors, but I liked their performance. And for the first timer, the direction was not bad which was done in just 17 days. Obviously not a greatest film of the year or the best gay film ever, but it had some great moments. A simple story about the four ordinary friends, and their unexpected situation to deal with. Something they're not used to it, but trying their best to adapt forth in the life.Only occasional use of a few obscene lines, so the film is safe to watch for all. It avoids the some usual gay related cliché, and provides with a fresh storyline. The laughs were not big, especially it avoids the offendable joke topics the most. So overall a decent comedy. For its low budget, the film actually looked like a big production film with a quality narration. Maybe you're not interested in the gay films, but if you do, then don't miss this little gem.6.5/10

Director Andrew Nackman has transformed writer Aaron Danick's smart script into a film that deserves wide attention, especially at this time in our history when LGTB issues are finally being addressed. The film features some fine actors – among them the true star of the film handsome and talented Evan Todd who turns in a sensitively nuanced performance as the coming out gay 24 year old - as well as the supporting cast of the fine Parker Young, Chord Overstreet and Jon Gabrus.Yes, there are some stereotypes introduced as Adam (Evan Todd) faces the internet dating game that are a bit beyond comedy, but the cast itself treats the issues of coming out with style. The plot outline - A car mechanic in a small, working class town (? Albany, NY) comes out of the closet to his unsuspecting, blue-collar best friends. But it is not just the struggle Adam faces with his quartet of best friends (Parker Young as the most sensitive Chris, Chord Overstreet as the confused Nick, and Jon Gabrus as the group clown Ortu. It is the manner in which the friendships strengthen as Adam gains the courage to come out (a dance he must also perform for his family and outside acquaintances) that makes the film at once entertaining and funny but also (due to the sensitivity of Evan Todd's acting and relationship with Parker Young) very tender.The movie is a treat for all audiences, but the discovery we come away with is the impressive, talented, and hunky Evan Todd. Watch his career blossom. Highly recommended.

It's a really nice comedy/drama about coming out of the closet. The movie follows a four friends group examining their relationships with each other with their families and with lovers.The main character is shown as a shy, timid boy searching for love. This is probably the most wanted thing amongst us. We all try to find the wonderful prince charming - the true love of our lives. Usually it leads to misunderstandings and failures, but trying and failing makes us worth the prize.After a wild night in a gay club the main character and one of his best friends get to an awkward situation. The friendship balances on very tiny rope. Despite all misunderstandings friends stay friends.The most fantastic scene in the move was Adam's mom tells him that he is her son and nothing will change that, she will always love him. It's the most wonderful thing that every gay person would love to hear from their parents.Light and nice comedy guarantees a good time to the viewer.

Few and far between are films that put gay characters in a sharp, naturalistic, authentic light. Its great production values portray the lead Adam in as flattering a way as first impressions can afford. The weaknesses of this film overcome its strengths by a mile. The usage of the line "I'm gay" seemed endless, running through the entirety of the film so that you are beaten over the head with it. The film feels like a rehearsal of the line. The character seems like he is trying to feel what it is to be gay as he repeats the line to himself and to others.We get some insight into how Adam's straight friends feel about it all and some insight into how Adam feels about them. Not much insight into anything else Adam feels besides largely concern for what his friends think. This is too simple.And for good reason. Every last other character including supporting cast falls very flat. At some later point or another a series of hard C- grade walking stereotypes from the 90's show the film for the embarrassing mess that it is. Narcissistic, one-note, crass, obsessive, perverse guys all there in name to date Adam.It is really silly. Take the production values and make something more interesting for everyone involved. A script should not have its apex center around a series of caricature dates between someone who is freshly out and token gay stereotypes.
