Ghost196311 While 'A Trip to the Moon' stands as a classic, remembered after over a hundred years, it is clearly dated. Having a short run-time and the technology of the time, there is not much to be expected. Much of what happens is unclear and can be confusing due to the silent film and poor quality of its survival. But when watching this, you seem to forget the limitations, and possibly respect what they made with what they had.

viggo-vintemon The goal is to go to the moon (without masks....) and they do. when there they get kidnapped by moonmen. The escape scene is bad and. So themovie starts with no sound... And it is just boring with all thosehats, and that it's old is no excuse. The moon is cool but that is the only thing I enjoyed and you saw it like 10 seconds. The moon mens were bad created and it did not make any sense. My question is how could they even be at the moon. It is impossible without that mask thing. A trip to the moon has bad acting and bad special effects and it's old is still no excuse. The only thing that makes this a 2 is the moon. Without the moon this would bee a 1. So that is my review of A trip to the moon.

rodrigo di pietro The movie is a simple production today, but in the time when he went to the big screens it was an incredible success. The production shows us about how was the thoughts and the imagination of the people from the beginning of the 20th century: a mind in what the the future could be and where we gonna go with the advance of technology. Because of this and his historical value the film still be presented in all the film classes around the world. Watch this historical story let us be transported to another century in a totally different timeless. I strongly recommend you watch because his effects to the cinematography are huge.a

lorenzomalfer I can't say that I really enjoy this film because I think that it belongs to a different generation and it is so different from the films I used to watch. In my opinion this movie is quite slow and has not any action, so it becomes quite boring for our standards. On the other hand we have to consider that this film was registered 110 years ago and it changed drastically the history of the cinematography and the way that the film were produced after the 1902. I know the huge progresses that this film meant for the history and that it was produced with just a few technological devices really worse than the cameras that we own nowadays, thus I really appreciate this registration. This are the reasons because of this film is still shown to the film classes around the world. Moreover I think that this film represents in a very detailed way the zeitgeist of this age and this is the cause because of the audience really appreciated it when it debuted. In my opinion the "spirit of the time" was the try to arrive always more far away with the huge technological discoveries that the beginning of the 1900 brought with it. This is the first science-fiction film and it represents this desire of discover that everybody had in that age. For all this reasons, this movie is certainly a timeless film!
