I would go ahead and say that Anbe Sivam is a movie that compels you to contemplate more about life and how fair it is. The movie would leave a deep impact on you as you reach the end credits. You would understand that life is unfair and there are people who have actual problems as compared to you. Madhavan and Kamal Hasan do justice to their respective characters with effortless acting. Having said that, if you are seeing this classic in 2018 it won't impress you so much with respect to the pace, cinematography etc. The main essence of the movie is the conversations between the two protagonists, although sometimes they are stretched out too much. Few emotional scenes were overblown to an extent.

This Movie is a Real Peace Teaching Movie for all, In Tamil Nadu and other Southern Indian states where this movie is released and the result is not Good BTW i felt bad on those who reviewed as Bad. This is really a Good and Tremendous Appreciable movie, whenever i watch the Video of the Title Song Yaar Yaar Sivam, i will get at least a few drops of tears in My Eyes. This Movie is explaining Love is God and Love Alone is God. I'm Recommending as much as my friends and neighbors to watch this movie and sharing the goodness of Love. All Artists in this Movie had a Great Job, All Team of this Movie is Appreciated. Music is Tremendous and not boring one even after 9 years from the Audio Released.Thanks & Regards, Kaarthik, India

YES. This movie gives you the meaning of life, explains you what is life and god.Whomsoever you may be ,of whatever ideology you may follow, you should definitely watch this movie.You can't get to see movies like this for a century. Hats off to Kamal for this movie.It gets into you, deep down your heart, the feeling, the message, the acting which you won't forget in the near future.I can honestly say, it's the best movie I've ever seen. 10/10. ***** **** *** ** * .

This movie to me is one of the best in tamil cinema, i would actually say one of the best Indian movie made. Best screenplay i have seen in recent times and also acting by the legend will take generations to match. Highly recommend anyone with liking for a good movie to watch this one! Sans glitter and glam this movie strikes the right cord and does that with impact... thanks to all the people involved in the making of this movie especially kamal haasan I would say that this movie had the right elements, be it music be it the story line or be it acting, it was just too good.... but for some reason this movie did not fare well in Tamil nadu a place where any masala movie would make its presence felt. Anbe sivam in a nut shell has definitely taken tamil cinema to the next level
