max-frank I don't know what I expected when I started watching this movie, but I was definitely let down by miles. First of all the dialogue is so bad and cheese, that it sometimes physically hurt to watch. The killing in this movie just takes away from the comedy , and believe me there is loads of killing it. Another negative factor is, that for some unexplainable reason someone thought it was a good idea to make every flame in this movie a bright blue colour, which sometimes really hurts while watching in a dark room. That being said there are some scenes that I found genuinely funny, although most of the time this was unintentional like in action scenes or scenes that where supposed to be serious and dramatic.
adonis98-743-186503 Axel Foley, while investigating a car theft ring, comes across something much bigger than that: the same men who shot his boss are running a counterfeit money ring out of a theme park in Los Angeles. I finally did it i finished the Beverly Hills Cop Series and today i'm gonna be talking about Beverly Hills Cop III the "Worst" in the Series for a lot of people. Now is BHC3 the Best Sequel of All Time? No it is not is it the Wost Sequel of All Time? Again it's a no and believe me i get it it's a bit goofy at times and it goes back and forth inside a Theme Park but that doesn't mean that it sucks. I feel that from all 3 of the Beverly Hills Cop movies Eddie Murphy kicked more @ss during this film he shoots people, he blows up people and he eventually blows up half of the Park by the end of the film. He tried to prove himself worthy of the name 'action hero' and he did a pretty cool job with that plus it's still a funny film for example the scene where Billy opens the door and "knocks out" Jon Flint was pretty funny or Axel trying to shoot a bunch of thugs with that 'Terminator 2000' gun and instead of shooting bullets it starts playing song sure it might be goofy for some but i like it by the time that this movie was made it was the 90's not the 80's stuff were meant to change and sure i miss some of the older actors like Ronny Cox or the older stuff like the more comedy aspect or the ridiculous amount of trouble that Axel was getting into but that doesn't mean that this is the worst of the Series it's not the Best for Sure but i've seen worse and maybe one day Eddie Murphy will get a chance to redeem himself with a Beverly Hills Cop IV. Also last but not least that George Lucas Cameo is Priceless just saying!!!
Tweekums This instalment opens in Detroit with Axel preparing to raid a local chop-shop; he hasn't bothered getting SWAT support as the group is known not to use weapons… unfortunately just before Axel's raid takes place another group of criminals has turned up and killed everybody in the chop-shop to retrieve a van that we later learn contained the paper used to make $50 bills. Instead of unarmed men the police find themselves up against machinegun toting heavies. Foley's boss, Inspector Todd is killed and Axel is determined to find the man who did it. Not surprisingly what little evidence there is points to Los Angeles; this time to a theme park, Wonderworld, where the head of security is the man who killed Todd… unfortunately Axel will have a hard job proving it as he is a pillar of the local community. Once in LA Axel is reunited with Det. Sgt Billy' Rosewood and also meets Serge again, the art gallery he worked in has closed and now he is selling 'luxury' firearms. When Axel goes into Wonderworld he discovers what is going on but he will have a hard job proving it.It this wasn't a 'Beverly Hills Cop' movie it would probably have been long forgotten; it isn't terrible but it is the weakest of the three films and too often it is silly rather than funny. Some of the gags feel as they wouldn't be out of place in a children's film… unfortunately the swearing and violence means that children shouldn't be watching this. The central story is solid enough but the execution is disappointing; much of the time it seemed as though the creators wanted shoehorn in as many park rides into the film just because they could. Eddie Murphy is good enough as Axel but is no longer as sharp as he was in the original and Judge Reinhold is fun as Billy; other main actors have left the franchise… perhaps wisely. On the plus side there are some good moments and enough laughs; just not as many as one might hope for. Overall one for the completists or those like me who found the box set in the bargain bin and bought it for the first film.
Nexus Engel Once again, Axel's back in Beverly Hills, a place that he may as well just move to since he's always doing his job there instead of where he actually should be. And again, he's there to investigate a fatal attack on a friend of his. Taggert and Bogomil are nowhere to be seen, which is a shame because those two characters were great, and the only actors to reprise their roles for this installment were Eddie Murphy himself as Axel, Gil Hill as the always angry, always loud-but-somehow-not- obnoxious Inspector G. Douglas Todd, and Judge Reinhold as Rosewood.Despite these absences, the movie works surprisingly well on its own, though even at its best, it's the worst in the trilogy. But that's not to say this movie isn't fun, because it is. It's understandable why fans would hate this movie, and honestly I'd expected to hate it too, but I wasn't disappointed at all.Axel is in Beverly Hills, once again against orders from the cops in Detroit AND Beverly Hills, to investigate the murderer of his now-dead superior officer, which leads him to Wonder World. Wonder World is like a discount Disneyland that serves as a cover for a counterfeiting operation. It's the most generic and flawed of the three, and it stays true to the formula the first two followed without being bold enough to try something different, but for what it is, it's still enjoyable and doesn't deserve as much hate as people have thrown at it since its release.Give it a shot. It's a love it or hate it thing, I guess. I liked it.
