Reviews

peterjacman I dont understand the good reviews, this is one of the worst movies of adam sandler, creepy, stupid, without anything to say to the audience
d.rust BLENDED showed up on late night television. I like Sandler. I like Barrymore. Their chemistry in 50 First Dates was pleasant. In this movie, not so much. Their relationship seems so strained and unbelievable.Kevin Nealon has never been a plus in movies: he is never funny. Instead of casting this loser, it would have been a better idea to put in Rob Schneider. Instead of his lines coming across insincere (which is basically EVERY. SINGLE. CHARACTER that Nealon does), Schneider would have been insane delivering that same dialogue. There is something really wrong with the sound. Maybe it was just the TV station, but during the credit card swap scene in Lauren's house, the background is literally roaring, overpowering the dialogue, birds chirping, traffic passing, wind blowing. I had to check the surround circuit to see if it was producing the phenomenon, even changing the stereo into left, right and mono with no fix. Eventually when the scene changed, the background went back to being normal. Everything seemed ok except when the story returns once again (after Africa) to a scene in her house, the background roars. It doesn't make any sense (except that the scenes were probably shot at the same time).Other than that particular problem, the movie is acceptable. I'd probably watch it again.
areatw 'Blended' is a generic, stale comedy that is almost identical to every other generic, stale comedy that Sandler has done. The plot might be different but it's still the same dumb humour and jokes that we've seen umpteen times before. You would have thought that an African safari trip would have made 'Blended' more appealing, but somehow it still manages to be totally uninspiring, verging on boring, despite the huge amount of potential with such a storyline. There are dumb jokes aplenty, most aren't funny, but they will probably keep the average viewer entertained.Unless you're Adam Sandler's biggest fan, there's little point watching 'Blended'. Generic comedies are everywhere you look at the moment, and this is one we could have all done without.
nghiauchin so i've just watched all 3 movies Adam Sandler and Drew Barrymore have acted in together and they've pretty much won my liking. Their romantic comedies never fail to crack me up and the chemistry they have when they're filming is really * heart eyes *. I realllly enjoyed the wedding singer and 50 first dates therefore i may be a little biased when writing this cause they already won me over with those 2 movies but this movie was really amazing on it's own, funny ( we all have our own sense of humour alright, mine just happens to be the same as the scriptwriters ) and the script was pretty good. something i got really excited about in the movie was when allen covert appeared!! i remembered him from 50 first dates playing 10 seconds tom and the wedding singer playing sammy so when he appeared in blended, i totally freaked out. Also, Alexis Arquette who played George in the wedding singer appeared in blended so once again, i freaked out so much. I thought it was so nice that the directors included the actors which acted previously in adam and drew's movies so that viewers could experience this sense of nostalgia. i think the older folks who have watched the wedding singer and 50 first dates during the time when they were released would be overwhelmed with emotion when they come back for blended to see those actors and actresses once again. i really actually hope these two make more movies together y'know ( just keeping my fingers crossed ) cause they make a great pair and i'd love to see the two of them in more movies !! <3
