o o Not a movie that i want to remember him by. depressing and heartless, that shows how low Hollywood will lower their morals.......just to get people to see their works. Why people want to see this death ridden movie, about how extreme hearth-less events. I not sure if Williams had a right mind when he did this. because he seems like it was really dressed in real life, how he pull this movie off. Sad what happen to him, but i sill can't say this was his best movie. It wasn't even his ave age, it was low standard get the people in the movies building type. I don't want seem mean, but its not right to put gays in this bad version of gay cursing style movie CRAP! so people believe this was a worthy movie to watch? or is it that they like this type depressing gay movie. This wasn't Williams best acting, nor was it even close to anything that make him great in his acting life. sad ending to a great actor.I sorry to see him go out with this badly plotted movie.Do you remember him say 1976 when he played MORK? and later in very funny comedy movies? Frankly speaking most if not all recall him from those days. HENCE don't recall him from his beginning. Many other worth while movies he played in in his early and middle life. But those that just base their basis rating. Early have little more no pass of his great early and later acting.
leonblackwood Review: I am used to seeing Robin Williams being a comic genius in his movies but in this film, there isn't a touch of comedy at all. He plays a happily married man called Nolan Mack, who has worked in a bank for many years, and is due for a promotion, to run his own branch. One night when he is driving home, he picks up at male, street prostitute, Leo (Roberto Aguire), and after spending one night with the teenager, he soon becomes his regular pick up. Nolan ends up falling for Leo, and whilst constantly lying to his wife, Joy (Kathy Baker), about his whereabouts, he spends various nights in a hotel with Leo. When Leo's pimp, Eddie (Giles Matthey) starts to demand money from his worker, Leo turns to Nolan for the money, which he reluctantly gives him. The relationship soon turns sour once Nolan realises that he has been used by Leo, which costs him his job and his relationship with his wife. The movie seemed very basic, with average performances from the cast but there are some emotional scenes. Williams seemed a bit out of his comfort zone, mainly because he was restricted in many ways but it was good to see that he could cover different genres, and still put in a decent performance. The main problem that I found with the movie was that it was very slow and it seemed more depressing than entertaining. It would have been nice to see Williams final movie being a comedy, because he is known for his brilliant sense of humour and quick wit jokes, which is why I think this film failed at the box office. Disappointing!Round-Up: This movie was directed by Dito Montiel, 51, who brought you. A Guide To Recognizing Your Saints in 2006, Fighting, The Son Of No One, Empire State and Man Down. He certainly has worked with some A-list actors, like Al Pacino, Robert Downey Jr., The Rock and Channing Tatum but all of his movies have been mediocre. This film felt more like a TV movie, in my opinion, and I personally think that there wasn't enough elements to keep the movie interesting. People didn't really flock to the cinema when this movie was released, which was surprising after his sad passing in August 2014. I'm glad that he will be remembered for his comedy, and the fact that he made everyone around the world laugh, at some point in there life. Budget: N/A Worldwide Gross: $128,000 I recommend this movie to people who are into their dramas, starring Robin Williams, Kathy Baker, Roberto Aguire, Giles Matthey, Eleonore Hendricks and Bob Odenkirk. 3/10
Dan Harden Boulevard marks the last feature film role for the late great Robin Williams. In this film, Williams plays 60 year old banker Nolan, who lives with his wife and a secret. The secret being that Nolan is gay and has been living a lie until he meets Leo, a homosexual prostitute to which Nolan almost runs over and starts conversing with. This encounter results in Nolan forming a strong emotional connection to Leo which eventually motivates him to come out and finally be himself. You can't watch this film and review it without talking about Robin William's touching performance as Nolan Mack. The sensitivity and subtly of Williams makes Nolan someone you deeply care and root for. The film also contains a decent supporting cast with good performances from Kathy Baker and Bob Odenkirk and a fairly moderate one from Roberto Aguire. But most importantly, William's final performance is a satisfying one, almost like the cherry on the top of the metaphoric cake that is Robin William's career. The films message is great, as Bob Odenkirk puts it at the films close "maybe it's never too late to start living the life you really want." This hopeful message the film delivers is both important on the grand scheme of things, as it as to Robin Willaims fans, giving a sense of hope after the actors untimely demise. The relationship between Nolan and his wife Joy was executed constantly well by director Dito Montiel, making their separation from one another abundantly clear in almost every scene they share. On the other hand I was unsure as to the relationship between Nolan and Leo. Its clear through Robin Williams endearing performance that Nolan feels deeply for Leo but I couldn't get a reading on Leo's feelings towards Nolan. Throughout the film, Leo seems to act unemotionally as if he is only there to get paid, and maybe he was i don't know. But then Leo gives Nolan an old western movie as a gift which implies he does care/ love Nolan as well. For me, this brought a sense of sadness to William's performance as the love he feels for Leo felt, for the most part, unrequited. Annoyingly, Leo's ambiguous emotions still bugs me now after having watched the full feature.Overall, Boulevard is sweet film that acts as a satisfying goodbye to a beloved actor. A uplifting film with a some what heartbreaking ending. Directed well by Dito Montiel, although the cinematography could have needed a bit of work as shots dip in and out of focus at times. All in all this is a well acted film with a brilliant message. RIP Robin Williams
Mahendra Vishwakarma A Outstanding performance by Robin Williams. It's touchy and passionate. "A old age man stuck in his life which he never wanted to live meets a youngster. Living with wife whom he loves but due to social nonacceptance of gay people hides his true self from society and family. The attraction and love towards the youngster makes him to realizes the true self of him. A point comes where everything is known to his wife and unable to continue his old life he parts way with his wife and starts living the life he wanted." Movie lacks a bit of screenplay and gets stretched but however the performance of Robin Williams keeps you hooked on to it. A Must watch movie.
