abalpn-99472 I haven't watched the first and second film but I've heard about the plot. They wanted to make it just like the High School Musical franchise. I don't like the Jonas Brothers because they think they're cool and all that. One of those brothers have a bad attitude. Taylor Swift dated one of them but I don't know who. I like Taylor Swift and I feel bad that she got dumped by a loser Jonas brother.Anyway, the drama in this sequel was cheap and cheesy. I thought that it was the end of that but they're making the third installment. I said to myself, "Are they're really going to make the third film? You're kidding." Demi wanted to do this. They even wanted the film to be R-rated. I was like, "What?! R-rated?!" It will probably be in the next two years when it's going to be released. So the first and second were not good. They were just a waste of time and money.

kringkring92 I thought this movie was alright. It just seemed different like does not connect to the first Camp Rock at all. Overall, I did not get the same emotional feeling as I had in the first one which was sort of a disappointment. My Problems with the movie:Too many songs- Reminds me of the cheesiness of what Disney brings. Just made it seem like another clichéd film. I was also irritated when they are just talking then they randomly dance. Im disappointed because they made the elements in the second film so different which just does not connect to the first one at all.Too many holes not filled in- I felt they did not thoroughly explain parts with Nate and the bracelet,HARDLY any character development in the story. Character- Okay, the new Mitchie?? What in the world happened to her? Shy girl to bossy girl? I also do not like Demi's new hair and she wears too much makeup. She needs to go back to her old look. And man I felt like Joe Jonas in the movie was TOO needy for some reason. And last thing there was no character development in the other characters which what I was looking forward to. They hardly got a part!Now that Im done with the negatives. Here are the pros.More Elements- I like how they added in a lot more comedy in it. Like the randomness of Kevin Jonas. HUGE comic relief. His time with the kids was also the most entertaining part. Also the interaction with Joe and Nick about him being an "idiot" always put a smile on my face. I also loved the romantic scene with Demi and Joe at the ending. :) It was sweet.Songs- Even though there were TOO much songs, some of them I found enjoyable to hear. They were catchy also!I decided to rate this 5/10 because it was not the best and also not the worst.

Kobe Busia As I can see, the majority of you reviewers were disappointed about this movie, and I agree with most of you. 4 of the songs in this movie were lame, the Nate-Dana love story was pathetic, and Mdot's character Luke Williams was very annoying, but in a very hysterically funny way. The Jonas Brothers are easily the worst actors on Disney, but in this film, Kevin was the most fun to watch, and Demi's character Mitchie was annoying and became a crazy control- freak!!! Please note that this movie and the Cheetah Girls: One World were the worst DCOMS I've ever seen, and that's no surprise, considering that they were both directed by Paul Hoen, and co-written by Dan Berendsen, who ironically did a brilliant job of writing the Wizards of Waverly Place Movie. This movie sucks, and for those of you who haven't seen it, you're doing yourself a favor. It's so terrible that even the Camp Star songs were much better than Camp Rock songs. Another thing I'd like to add is that when Shane and Mitchie were arguing, I thought the scene would be well acted out but it was so weak and poorly done especially from Joe who's acting worsened mainly because Shane's personality altered between the 2 movies. Overall, I'd have to give this film a 4/10. What made Nate and Dana's love story so unrealistic was done by a number of stupid stuff: Like the charm bracelet hitting him in the eye, even though he was way in the audience just made no sense and it was random, as well as when he said "Here I am", and she randomly got mad and assumed he was "Just like every other teenage guy in the world"!!!!!!! Give me a break!!!!!!! Some other unrealistic situations included some songs in the movie, most notably, "Wouldn't Change A Thing, which is a good song, but who in their right mind would sing a duet when they're nowhere near each other, and at night, wouldn't that wake everybody up?!?!? The best song was It's on, and Introducing me was funny, but overall the film and it's soundtrack were very disappointing!!!!!! 4/10 Kobe Busia

StartingAllOver14 With the release of "Camp Rock" in 2008, Disney had found another franchise to milk alongside with "Hannah Montana" and "High School Musical"; a stereotypical movie about a regular teen chick with a regular teen problem, filled with catchy songs and some daily life vs. pop star struggles. However, the first "Camp Rock" was a movie which I genuinely enjoyed. While it's not a film of the lifetime, I found it to be sincere and quite likable. Just as most successful movie franchises, "Camp Rock" gets a sequel, but it's a well known term that most sequels aren't better than their predecessors – and unfortunately the highly promoted "Camp Rock 2: The Final Jam" is no exception and comes off as a mild disappointment.With all consideration; "Camp Rock 2" isn't exactly bad; just a little disappointing. The film does have its cute and enjoyable moments, but comes across as less compelling as a whole. The main plot isn't exactly a misplaced choice from the screenwriters (a battle versus two camps), but while the first movie didn't exactly had a groundbreaking story, it had a more stronger, internal conflict; Mitchie's (Demi Lovato) conflict with Tess (Meaghan Martin) and her identity-struggle and Shane's (Joe Jonas) internal struggle of being a cold, inaccessible person because of his fear of being fooled by someone who wanted to take use his celebrity status. Besides, the script is less structured this time and jumps from a random musical sequence to another random musical sequence and the events feel less chronological (written by the not so cleverly Dan Berendsen, which has proved his lack of skills in several script).The film wants to expand the screen time of the characters, but doesn't really take the time to develop them as they did in the first movie. The film gives more time to Shane's band members Nate (Nick Jonas) and Jason (Kevin Jonas). It's not strange that Kevin screen time gets expanded, since he's proved his comical ability and a charismatic presence in several Disney projects. But the subplot with Nate and his love interest Dana (Chloe Bridges) from the forbidden group "Camp Star" is just contrived, unnecessary and doesn't add anything to the plot. Another noteworthy notion is the appearance of Demi Lovato. Yes, this notion has been discussed before, but her appearance as Mitchie was more restrained and natural in the first movie. Now with her black hair, light tan and tons of makeup, she appears as a different character. No 'one shall blame Miss Lovato for her desire to change her appearance (after all, she's still in the puberty), but perhaps she could have waited to dye her hair after shooting the sequel? It seems like the director were more eager to turn this sequel into a "High School Musical" flick, with a more musical feel to the movie and having the characters suddenly break out into song and dancing to cheesy, choreographed dances. The tone and feel highly resembles the "HSM" sequel and the message is more kid-aimed and more kid friendly than in the first movie.Okay, enough with the complaining; I did enjoy this movie to an extent. It has more kid friendly humor this time without being awkward, while at the same time, the tone is more mature as well. The film has several catchy songs, especially the excellent duet "Wouldn't Change a Thing" between Mitchie and Shane. The film introduces us to a few new characters, as the bragging and sexy Luke (Matthew Finley), Nate's love interest Dana, her cynical father who's the leader of Camp Star and even the youngest JoBro Frankie gets a cameo. The film has also its funny, sweet and sincere moments, has an unpredictable twist to the ending and a good moral.So while "Camp Rock 2" fails to live up to its predecessor, it still makes a cute, harmless and watchable family flick. It's not a masterpiece and it's not intended to be one either, but a light TV flick which doesn't make any harm. Now let's see if Disney has intentions of making a third movie.
