writers_reign If Christopher Robin ISN'T saying his prayers he should be. Even the beyond dire Russell Brand who, in a perfect world would be stood against a wall alongside Jeremy Corbyn - both sans blindfold - and be machine-gunned to death, could probably have turned in a more convincing performance as the adult Christopher Robin than Ewan McGregor who seemed to be basing his performance on the zombie played by Laurence Harvey in The Manchurian Candidate. When the best thing by far in a movie is the original illustration by E.H Shepherd then ya got trouble, my friends, right here in Hundred Acre Wood.
butterflymom-05830 I have always been a fan of Ewan MacGregor. I was never a Winnie the Pooh fan until I had my daughter 21 years ago. As a toddler, she chose Pooh as her favorite over everything, and that's when I fell in love with the stories of Winnie the Pooh. This movie has brought back such wonderful memories for me, it did not disappoint. So enchanting.
ijacobs3 As a nearing 40 dad, who works endless hours to make ends meet and make sure my family has the best of everythijg I can give them, taking my daughter met to watch this movie, not only had me in tears by the end, it made me think hard about what / where I'm heading in life, and what I'm missing out on in family timeThis movie was amazing! Fantastic CGI and a story line that not only tugs on the heart strings , it kicks you so hard in the feelings , that you actually wake up and think about what happened to you
davezpk What a lovely film this is. Heartwarming and great for all ages. Disney went back to the original look characters from the books and it really worked. You could relate to them exactly as you have read and seen them before but as convincing lifelike toys rather than cartoons. The theme throughout the film although predictable and nothing out of the ordinary, you find yourself wanting this and it follows the simple plots you want from it. Funny in some places, emotional in others, it was beautifully written and acted out. Tigger was hilarious and eeyore as depressed as ever but the whole mix of the characters made it a great experience. I could have easily sat and watched it again as could my 10yr old son. Definitely an absolute classic and will be in my dvd collection when it comes out.
