sophie_b81 The actors of CREEP 2 play their characters convincingly, and they are what made the movie watchable. However, this sequel relied way too heavily on weird psychological tension between the two main characters rather than true horror. The pacing of the film had next to none of the suspense of the first movie. I never felt hooked by the plot, despite the good acting. Even if you liked the first CREEP, this one really isn't worth the watch.
Zachary Ayotte Unlike the first film, which I very much enjoyed, this sequel is actually justified using the found footage format. It is a step up from the first Creep in every conceivable term. The script is better and more focused, the characters are more defined, the humor is subtler yet more memorable, Mark Duplass' performance is unhinged yet incredibly relatable... I have binge-watched both films in one night and all I can say is they reinstated my faith in the found footage genre. This movie has transcended the genre tropes to become its own unique, unforgettable thing.
J. (CountJonnie) Duplass was a perfect psychopath /sociopath in the first 'Creep', which worked great on various levels, thanks to the claustrophobia, limited setting, lack of music and depending greatly on flawless acting. In this sequel, he looks like he is going to repeat the first trick, on a higher gear, but the chemistry and development between the two lead stars is amazing. Duplass shows more of his background, without giving away too much, or making sure whether he is lying or telling the thruth. He just adds layers and twists, without losing the charm of the first movie. While the series could end after this movie, I hope for a third and final movie.
Leofwine_draca CREEP 2 is a lacklustre follow-up to a film which really didn't require a sequel at all, being as self-contained as it was. This is another found footage two-hander about a woman who answers a job advert and comes to work for an exceptionally creepy guy. Given that we now know about the villain there's no need for a twist ending, so violence takes place earlier. However, this is mainly reliant on jump scares and the like which feels very predictable, and more wolf mask antics just feel predictable by now. The twist ending barely raises an eyebrow.
