Hitchcoc Apparently, this is Donald's first solo effort. Hs is in Mexico and goes to see a potential love interest. It's Donna Duck, not Daisy. What transpires is his every effort being met with huge anger by the female. He trie everything, including buying a car, but she is hell on wheels. The weakness of this episode has to do with the lack of connection between the characters. Donna never treats anyone positively, yet Donald is utterly taken with here. Quite ordinary with little future promise. One downside--I could barely make out what Donald was saying.
RasAlBane well my favorite Disney character Donald Duck here in his first official show!. in this show we got to meet daisy(Donna) for the first time and that daisy is better then the real Daisy. and well I'm from Iceland and im only 13 so my English ain't that great. I went to vacation to Spain and bought the Tresures Donald and was very happy that i found it.I think that Donald and Goofy are much more funnier Then Mickey he is not so good even though he is the first Disney character.that is at least what i think, And Srooge Mcduck is a very good character too and the Ducktales show boy that was good. But Donald Duck is always numero uno! This was a great cartoon showing when Donald met Daisy.
Shawn Watson Donald plays some sort of traveling Banjo player who comes into (an apparently Mexican) town on a pitiful, lazy, dying Donkey and tries to serenade the lovely Daisy Duck (called Donna in this short). She's not too impressed with his wooing skills and quickly becomes bored with him.Desperate not to lose her attention Donald trades his worthless mule in for a car (these were new-ish creations back in the 30s). Daisy is interested once more and they go out for a ride. Well, Donald is no boy racer that's for sure. Following Daisy's orders, Donald pushes the car to its limit on the rough desert terrain and it's not belong before it falls apart and fights back against its enraged owner.Another perfect example of the highly irritable duck being pushed to the point of a nervous-breakdown. Which, when you think about it, is quite cruel entertainment.
Squonk This very funny Donald Duck short puts the feathered one south of the border as he tries to woo an attractive young female duck. This film marks the first appearance of the character that would become Daisy Duck, but it's not the Daisy we've come to know. This duckette has a temper to match Donald's. Watching this made me wish they had left the Daisy Duck character like this, making her a much more suitable match for Donald.
