I'll have to admit, I was excited at first when I found out there was going to be a long-awaited sequel to "Dumb and Dumber". That excitement went away quickly at the beginning of the movie.Compared to the prequel "Dumb and Dumberer", this was worse and I thought the prequel was awful. You know you have a shit movie when the best part has Bob Saget. What made the first movie so great was you knew that they were dumb but the writing was executed so brilliantly that there's a method to their madness. This one just resorts to immature and junior high level humor and the daughter is more annoying than they are.Major disapppointment!

To have the opportunity to continue the hilariousness that is of LLoyd Christmas and Harry Dunne, and completely butcher it, making them not DUMB anymore, but full-blown retarded...I mean...what a shame. What a DAMN shame!Had this been made in the 90s...it may have been better. But, humor has changed over the last 20 years. Nobody thinks subtleties are funny anymore. Today, you have to be almost absolutely foul in order to get a chuckle. And it hurts characters like these guys, because they weren't meant to be foul. They were meant to be simple. And it worked back then! But now? Not so much. Simple is no longer funny. Simple makes you have to think...and nobody likes thinking anymore. If it's not in your face offensive, it's not hilarious! Desensitization is to blame here.Seriously what were they thinking, though...not knowing what "sex" is? Not knowing how human reproduction works? And lets talk about how slipping back into character was a complete FAIL for Daniels, but easy peasy for Carey. It was so obvious that it was painful to watch! Talk about a real struggle. This character MADE Daniels...but jumping back into him proved to be a impossible task. It was as if Daniels was trying to jump into the character of Harry of when he was a teen, played by Derek Richardson in Dumb and Dumberer- (another terrible movie). You directors had the world and you crushed it. What a shame. What a damn...shame....

Have been looking for this for quite some time and finally got to see it on DVD. It was pretty much what I expected, but there were quite a few let downs. The whole idea of going to see Fraida Felcher, named from the original movie was funny, and so was Kathleen Turner. In fact she was one of the best things in the movie. Rachel Melvin as Penny was equally as good. She played the 'dumb girl' role really well. Thought some of her bits were the funniest in the whole movie. "I need a really really skinny fork!" The story line was 'okay', pretty much what you would expect, but at times it did get too lowbrow. Some of the jokes and scenes were like they were written by high school boys. I can't believe they really did the 'Harry changed Lloyd's diaper' scene. Did grown men really come up with this a funny scene? Comedy is a fine line between humor and goofy. But all in all I'm glad I saw it. And if they decided to make another Dumb and Dumber movie, I would watch it, for sure.

Yes, I am a huge fan of the first movie, it made my childhood. When they announced that they were making a sequel, I was kind of happy and yet afraid that they would ruin the first movie, because most sequels do. The first time I watched this, I'd say the only reason I was happy to be seeing it was because it was just nostalgic to see Harry and Lloyd, Jim Carrey and Jeff Daniels back on the big screen together. I didn't laugh that much, but the ending credits made me want to cry when they rolled footage from the first movie. However, the more and more times I watch this movie, the funnier it is to me.. If you really pay attention to Jim Carrey's acting, it gets funnier and funnier. I'm not completely disappointed with this sequel at all and these movies will always be my favorite.I see all these people who are writing reviews about how horrible the movie is and I just feel bad. It's really not a horrible movie. I loved seeing Harry and Lloyd together again.
