santhosh-10290 The movie was excellent. Sudheep acted very well in the movie. Songs and BGM in the movie was very good. VFX and Graphics in the movie was amazing. One of the Best Movie I have ever seen. Legend S.S.Rajamouli.
Ashwin Nandihalli Its a classy movie. An amazing Fantasy. Re-birth into a fly. I did not wanted to watch this movie. But accidentally got pulled in to theater by friend. And i thanked him later for that. I watched Telugu version the language i understand little but this one is a visual movie, one which any body can enjoy even not knowing the language. The fly is so true to life, thanks to SFX but i know that's possible as i am in same field. But the way i forget that its a CG thing and start crying and getting angry and happy for the fly. Wooh that the directors wonderful job. Its a total entertainer. And any body would love this movie 10 year old to 100 year ones. Its best movie not just because its using SFX fly but it fairs in all aspects. Stop reading and watch the movie, you will know it all and more.
Stalfos Conner While Hollywood is busy promoting promiscuity, perversity, Satanism, drug abuse, etc Bollywood is making a movie about - as the description of this movie states - a murdered man who is reincarnated as a housefly and seeks to avenge his death. Hollywood is going bankrupt, Bollywood is succeeding. Eega demonstrates perfectly well why that is the case, as silly as the premise of the movie may sound.Anyone can make a porn movie, celebrate drug abuse, trash religions, etc. Any movie can be filled with sexual scenes, nudity, perversity and such things. That's why Dutch and French movies will never break through and that's why Hollywood is currently going bankrupt. It's a cheap, uncultured, immoral and shameless way to attempt to make money. In contrast, making a movie such as Eega takes skills, culture, religion and all of that to make it work. In addition, even though I'm not into romantic movies, Eega and Magadheera (2009) from the same director and co-writer of this movie, S.S. Rajamouli, I have greatly enjoyed both of these romantic movies. It's a huge relieve that S.S. Rajamouli hasn't tried to make a Western styled movie. Both Eega and Magadheera are culturally and theologically Indian movies in every way (and both deal with reincarnation). It gives me a little bit of hope that it's not over with good movies in the world. There is a still a country in the world that has enough self-respect to be able to produce such a movies like this one, instead of resorting to something like I Love You Phillip Morris (2009).From the beginning to the end Eega has kept me entertained. I was expecting it to be bad but I was pleasantly surprised. The movie focuses on what matters to the story and never goes astray. I have never seen a movie in which a person is incarnated as a fly and that also makes one curious I guess, which works in favor of the movie and the movie takes full advantage of that.A romantic but sad movie. Definitely recommended!
Hamish Joy What starts out as a love story quickly escalates into jealousy and murder. The protagonist is murdered in cold blood by the cartoonishly evil villain. And then he is reincarnated as a housefly (eega is Telugu for fly), and sets out to exact revenge and to protect his lost love from the villain's clutches. Yes, it's a story about a vengeful spirit reincarnated as a housefly. Let me be clear here - it's a regular housefly, not a superhousefly or something. Well, a housefly with human intelligence and past memories, so super to an extent... but still a housefly that can be zapped by a bug zapper. It is a well made movie, given the premise. Good effects, nice sequences... enjoyable overall. But it's still over-the-top in-your-face action, typical Telugu masala fare. The plot gets thicker once the fly partners with his ex-beloved, who happens to be a miniature artist, who helps him train himself physically and makes protective gear for him to wear. No kidding. Ridiculous? Yes, but you would have stopped caring about realism and sense long time before this happens. It's a good story - given the premise. It's well made - given the premise. It's entertaining - given the premise. The premise itself is quite novel and groundbreaking, but it's difficult to take it seriously when you remember that it's all about a reincarnated housefly executing a planned revenge on his killer using stealth tactics and miniature weaponry.Don't get me wrong - I enjoyed the movie immensely. It's great to see people coming out with experimental stuff like this. And it delivers what it promises.
