Gorgon Video, obviously trying to milk this cash-cow for all its worth, released yet another compilation showing highlights from the earlier films. FOD V begins with no opening credits at all. Instead, it goes straight into more stock footage, primarily from parts one and four. The goofball, obviously staged monkey brain eating sequence from the first film is shown again in its entirety; Samuel Berkowitz makes another cameo, as his encapsulation is recounted wholly; the head-in-a-box from part four is here, too. As most of the footage here is lifted whole from the first film, it is appropriately capped off with the closing credits from the first film. It probably took the people at Gorgon perhaps about two hours to assemble this, and slap on some artwork to the video box for release. Speaking of the video box, the video box cover artwork is the exact same as part IV. Furthermore, it claims that the run time is 90 minutes. Ha! Try more like about 70 minutes. 70 minutes of crap we have already seen in Faces Of Death 1, Faces Of Death 4, and first compilation, The Worst Of Faces Of Death. What a ripoff, of itself, basically.

Those of you unwitting enough to lay your hands on a copy of Faces of Death 5 beware. If you aren't already an insomniac, you soon will be. Watch at your peril, for this film is worse than any Scary Movie you have ever seen.No matter how sickening they can make a horror film these days, one thing stays in your mind, either during or after the production: it was just acting. Now imagine a horror movie, but all the incidents that take place are for real; actually footage from actual deaths that actually took place in America, all compiled in one place. Faces of Death 5.For those of you that have seen the first four, you know what I'm talking about, only as the years have gone on, the footage collected has become sicker. I've seen the first, and that was tame compared to this. I tell you again beware.Spoilers: Just a quick warning about what you will see if you watch this death-fest. Prepare for the sickening sight of a magician killed by his own contraption. Reel as we see a Speedboat slice a lady in half. Gasp as a mental patient breaks free and attacks his carer. Throw up when you see a Satan worshipping cult rip the skin off a living mans face.This is not for the faint hearted. When I saw it, I didn't sleep for two nights, and even then had nightmares for a week. BEWARE.
