muvi-fan-73 All the praise associated with the movie mainly goes to Anurag Kashyap. The story Gangs of Wasseypur has been inspired from reality scripted and told in such a way that it even comes out as an entertainer. All credit goes to the director. Anurag Kashyap is the best at least in Bollywood when it comes out to portray reality. The movie is divided in two parts but on IMDb it's merged into a single profile. It doesn't matter much; one can show his respect at same place.Tone, Script & Story: The movie portrays growth and demise of criminal groups that existed in place called Wasseypur. The movie is very nicely scripted.Direction, Screenplay, Cinematography: As discussed all the praise goes to Anurag Kashyap. The filming locations bring the story to its life.Music: A lot of local taste is added. I would term music to be 'very good'. Acting: All the actors associated do justice their roles. It's a delight to watch them.Final Verdict: You can relate, only if you belong one of such neighborhood. You can add it to your collections to have something of such places to be in your knowledge.
nazar-abbass I can see it every Day .. love the movie The key to this is the way Kashyap builds his overall story out of the accumulation of smaller stories. An entire life can be extrapolated from almost every character who appears over the course of the film, and several of them could easily have entire movies in which their storyline is the center. Yet at no point is there an issue of diffuse focus, or of misplaced importance. The performances, across the board, are magnificent, with special credit to be paid to Khan family matriarch Richa Chaddha, and her second son (and star of the second part of the film) played by Nawazuddin Siddiqui, whose work and character arc in "Gangs of Wasseypur" defy superlative. Everything is exactly as it should be, storywise, and the total is an astonishing feat, worthy of discussion alongside Coppola's first two "Godfather" films, or Leone's "Once Upon a Time in America."
GOURAV DAS Almost 4 years ago when the film was released then I was not so matured and found the film a violent one after watching the promos. I was not interested in the film. But later years I heard a lot about the film and finally decided to watch it. I have watched the full movie two times and I am not satisfied and I think even 10 times is not enough for my satisfaction. The movie is just amazing and I think it is the best film of the decade (after 2010). Firstly, the direction of Anurag Kashyap is just brilliant and all the actors under his direction are just fantastic. Three generations and one main villain- the story-line is just amazing.Manoj Bajpayee, Nawazuddin,Tigmanshu Dhuliya,Richa Chadda were fantastic in their roles. Specially the characters Definite and Perpendicular were very interesting. The dialogues were good and the songs were some weird type but very enjoyable to listen. The movie is abusive but suitable to the plot. The movie has also shown the dark side of the states Bihar and Jharkhand. The comic timings in this movie is very good. I am disappointed as the movie got only 10 awards but I think this is one of the best movies made in Bollywood. This is surely a masterpiece.
Vaibhav Khulbe (khulbevaibhav) When it comes to natural acting, no one in Bollywood defy Manoj Bajpai and Nawazuddin Siddiqui. Though the movie is a fiction, but the scenes are so real that audience is made to believe that Wasseypur is another name for crime. The adaptation of the language of the region, the attire is presented beautifully. You are so involved in the movie that you curse the director for ending it even after 2 hours and 40 minutes. Though most of the things were taken care of, still there were some plot holes which catch the eye of viewer. Otherwise it is a wonderful entertainer. I have now started finding better movies through www.flickstree.com. It not only suggest great movies to watch, it also tells where you can watch the movie online.. Highly recommended.
