lukem-52760 WILL SMITH is Fantastic yet again in another fun blockbuster movie!!! I would pick this to watch over any of the boring MARVEL movies any day, Hancock is good fun about a broken lost & lonely super hero called Hancock played perfectly by the always excellent WILL SMITH. This film has alot of laughs but more heart & drama mixed into a big budget super hero movie. Sometimes this film goes to a very deep & emotional level during some really brutal action scenes towards the end & it packs that powerful punch that SMITH does & he gives another excellent performance as Hancock.This is basically an origin story of the lost soul super hero Hancock so no need to get in to it just watch & enjoy

atlasmb What would you call someone who is bad-mannered, foul-mouthed, destructive, homophobic, unreasonable, and drunken who is a liar and an asshole? Probably not a superhero. Will Smith plays Hancock, a slacker with all those attributes who also has supernatural powers. Maybe you could call him a superzero--someone with the potential to be spectacular who falls far short.He's a reluctant hero for sure, who usually rises above his crassness only when forced to, and then leaves careless destruction in the wake of his heroics.He meets Ray (Jason Bateman), an optimistic PR man who thinks Hancock should change his image. Ray's wife, Mary (Charlize Theron), seems unconvinced. What follows is an unpredictable story about love and possible redemption. There are bad guys, of course, who complicate matters, but the resolution of this story feels messy and contrived. By the end of the film, viewers may feel like it was all just an origin story that served no purpose except to be the foundation for other real stories to follow. But who would want to emotionally invest in a hero that still feels less than realized, a temporary patchwork of questionable values?One feels that an opportunity has been missed. Imperfect heroes can be quite interesting if their story makes them lovable or compelling. Hancock strains to achieve either.

adonis98-743-186503 Hancock is a superhero whose ill considered behavior regularly causes damage in the millions. He changes when one person he saves helps him improve his public image. Hancock is one of the most underrated superhero films of all time it's basically like a DC movie but instead of 3 movies you have only one the reason why Hancock is such a jerk to everyone is not because he is bad but because he is all alone he thought for years he was the last of his kind but he really wasn't and that is where the drama comes in sure the film has good action and humor but the dramatic element shines it truly shows how heroes are like us and the fact that if they love each they start loosing their powers and become mortal is just a genius idea. Aside the villains and the cgi which is off sometimes Hancock truly shows how heroes are being treated they might save the day but they still have their enemies which is the world for example Superman in BVS. Charlize Theron as Mary is the character that Will Smith was with decades ago and after a horrific attack they split and he doesn't remember a thing and i have to say that scene in the hospital where he got shot or stabbed was amazing they both felt the pain that perfectly shows love and heroism but also the curse of 2 heroes falling in love and as Will starts jumping around away from Mary she comes back to life just epic. Also Jason Bateman was excellent in this film and for once again Peter Berg is just a great director period and because of that i'll give Hancock a 10 out of 10 truly underrated science fiction film.
