Due to the overpopulation of hell each year angels descend from heaven and carry out a purge on demons. Charlie Morningstar, the princess of hell, is shocked by this and seeks a more peaceful solution to solve the problem. For this she aspires to create the Happy Hotel, a facility where sinners can find redemption and consequently ascend to heaven.
