littlethaddeus This is real truth ,I know people of the white race don't like it, well to bad, truth is truth , get over it, this showed historical facts not lying history that we were force to learn in white school's, GREAT WORK !!!
Dee Bass I recently purchased the first three DVDs of this documentary. I watched the first two. After watching them, I initially had this amazing sense of understanding and self pride. I started thinking. Just thinking. Kind of blown away. But after awhile, you get so caught up in the documentary; you lose sight on what's fact and what's opinion. Now, I'm not saying that this information is completely false. These are professors, teachers, authors, activist, etc who are highly educated. But I will tell anyone who watches this to keep in mind that some of this stuff is left up to interpretation and you should research to confirm their findings. I honestly believe that is what they want us to do as viewers. don't just take their word for it.This documentary series has a lot of facts that are very true. A lot of history that is true and we were never taught about in schools. But there are also somethings that I feel are very opinionated and delivered as fact. And those opinions come off more as conspiracy theories than fact. But other than that, the documentary series is very interesting.
rmcintosh-86470 As a Black American I found this documentary to be extremely informative and entertaining. At first I was perplexed by the number of negative reviews on this site, then the obvious came to mind, and I knew who was leaving the negative reviews. Living in America it's virtually impossible to convince many Whites that there are severe flaws in their history and that much of what they speak of are total lies based on White supremacy. You can't win with people who are both narcissistic and racist, it's totally impossible. If what is spoken doesn't entail White folks be the smartest, greatest, best of anything, then they aren't trying to hear it. I don't have any hatred towards Whites whatsoever and don't support racial supremacy of any one, but I refuse to believe in totality what I was taught by White America. They control all the institutions and have always danced to their own tune, so what do you expect? Having someone Whites watch these documentary objectively without them getting upset is impossible. To all the White folks, lost Black folks, and others, that gave this documentary a negative vote, what is your basis, other than a bias opinion, that what was spoken in this film is false? Then again, never mind.I suggest to any Black American who is seeking truth to watch these documentaries and don't let these racist haters sway your perspective, because you can't win with them.
okwoodard-86924 I am not a paid reviewer first of all. This documentary had me questioning everything that I was taught in school and college. I was captivated from beginning to end and watched all three documentaries in one night and have re-watched every single one at least four times and I cannot wait for Hidden Colors 4 to come out and was proud to support the Kickstarter campaign. May the Creator and the ancestors bless Brother Tariq Nasheed. Keep up the good work. As for those who critiques have been harsh, have you ever heard of Google? There is no reason whatsoever for you not doing your research and if you contest anything in the documentary, cite an example and then provide evidence that proves your point. Denigrating Brother Nasheed makes you look jealous and pathetic. Some people are so comfortable with the lie that they can't even fathom anything that counters their long cherished beliefs. They would rather believe that Thomas Edison and Alexander Graham Bell and Henry Ford invented the light bulb, phone and automobile despite overwhelming evidence to the contrary. Louis Latimer and CR Patterson are the unsung and unheralded heroes whose ingenuity is finally getting much needed recognition and praise. I so loved when Dr. Kamene said that "the only thing that the European invented was the patent office." It brought everything that I already knew about the lies that I exposed on my own into even greater focus and deepened my appreciation for independent study. There are numerous examples of European theft of African ingenuity. One glaring example that wasn't even featured in the documentary was the example of Dr. Vivien Thomas. A carpenter by trade who never went to medical school that pioneered bypass surgery and trained world renowned surgeons all over the world. This man didn't have a high school diploma and yet has such brilliance that he taught at one of the most prestigious medical institutions in the USA. And to think that he couldn't even enter John Hopkins through the front door. The brilliance of melanated people worldwide astounds me and it is a crime against humanity that should be punishable by the most gruesome death ever for anyone to knowingly rob an entire segment of humanity of their history and potential. I hope that Tariq Nasheed keeps producing Hidden Colors into infinitum. These first three just scratch the surface! There is so much more to learn!!!!!
