snperera I will always love this movie!! it is so great and I know it is cheesy and people think that the acting isn't that great but it's a Disney movie and the songs are amazing and the acting is great! You have been with these characters for so long and now it's ending and I believe they ended on a high note! This movie is my childhood and it will always be a classic to me.
giffbirds I felt the same about all 3 movies really. I'd say my least favorite was the first, then this one. All pretty close though. I did come up with a few problems that I had with this movie as well.1. Championship is being played on their home court again.2. They won back to back championships on buzzer beating 2 pointers to win by 1. That seems realistic.3. Why does Sharpay all of a sudden have a double locker? 4. How does Sharpay go from bad person to good person to bad person to good person to bad person again.5. Why is every show this school does a musical? Wouldn't they do a normal play every now and then? 6. Troy has performed in 1 school performance up to the start of this movie, yet somehow he's one of the people with a chance for a scholarship at a school as amazing as Juilliard.7. There is no way Troy would learn to Waltz that quickly.8. What is with these movies and having sprinklers/rain fall on Gabriella and Troy? 9. Would you really chase someone who has your clothes around the whole school if you only had a towel on? 10. How rude does a person have to be to say an invitation wasn't good enough? 11. Troy gets white paint on his hands from the fence, but Gabriella doesn't. They both grabbed it in the same area.12. How does a truck with as many problems as Troy's drive 1053 miles to Stanford and back? 13. What is up with this movie having so many songs repeated? 14. It was said that the show was 2 days after prom. Troy went to Stanford on the day of the prom. If they wanted to get back in time for the show, they could have because they obviously had more than 24 hours to get back.15. Even if U of A was a real school, it would most likely not be D1, and it would be almost impossible for them to be on Cal's schedule.16. From experience, the valedictorian usually wears something special to distinguish them from the rest at graduation. Gabriella was valedictorian, but wore nothing special.17. The choreography for these movies were usually pretty good, but a good part of the final song in this movie looked like a round of the harlem shake. Maybe it's because they have the baggy graduation gowns on.About the same amount of problems I had as the other two, so yea, all 3 movies fairly equal in how much I liked them.I just have to add this. When Gabriella yells Troy in the opening song, it sounds like Wes from Emblem3 singing Chloe.
helaumur I haven't seen the other HSM's but this one was bad enough. Shallow, selfish children who want everything and all the attention, the boys are poor little puppies who panda to the girls whims, and it has every cliché going including dancing in the rain. Its so awful and saccharine it made me want to smoke crack and take off the opal ring that has been branded on to my flesh. Sharpay i am sure is the name of a breed of dog, she walks around the school like a tramp, the songs are a giant catalyst for a migraine, Juliard? really has their standards gone down so much? Just about the worst kids film i have seen and the sad thing is children will watch this and think its perfectly acceptable to be 1 dimensional selfish shallow fashion conscious vague no bodies who no doubt will end up being pole dancers or meth addicts. The script is diabolical, the English girl is so wet its unreal, i am sure its racist somehow. This film should be used a torture in Iraq as water boarding would be preferable to this tripe.
TheLittleSongbird I am sorry to fans, but I just hate the High School Musical series. They are just so predictable and lame in my opinion. This film is no exception, in fact this is the worst of the three.I will admit I was expecting a film with a predictable plot. I didn't get that. I got a film with a non-existent plot, and even when something DID happen it was predictable and cheesy. The script doesn't fare much better, in fact it is very, very weak. The choreography is okay, but the songs and the singing are forgettable. Also this film is devoid of energy, the first two films admittedly did have some energy particularly in the choreography, but the pacing is not good here and that really brings the film down. The direction is nothing special either, while the performances including from Zac Efron and Vanessa Hudgens this time are bland.Overall, I don't like it, sorry. I love Disney and I like high school movies(ie. Clueless, Mean Girls) but I hate the High School Musical movies. 1/10 Bethany Cox
