Minahzur Rahman I remember seeing this movie first coming out, and was eagerly excited to watch it: really enjoyed seeing the trailer of it. I wasn't too disappointed that this movie will have a completely different cast compared to the previous two movies because it just wouldn't have worked if the original cast continued to reprise their roles for the third one. Home Alone 3 was still a fine home alone movie - very entertaining! I liked how it is different compared to the previous two home alone movies, and feel it worked really well. Alex was amazing especially with that remote control car. I liked how he was toying with these intruders all throughout the neighbourhood. I really enjoyed the scene where that toy car was taking on the real car head-on. I think it's just as good as the previous two home alone movies, but unique on its own way if that makes sense. Home Alone 3 had a kid deal with 4 CROOKS!!!! so that shows how unique it was. Home Alone 3 made me laugh: some of the scenes were just too funny. I really enjoyed this as a kid. I even had it on tape. It's a fine christmas movie for the family, and I would definitely add it to my watchlist for the christmas season.

Nadine Salakov Home Alone 3 is a very entertaining flick, it is funny, has some great dialogue, great directing and editing. The first and second movies are funny as well, but the third one is more humorous, all 3 movies have that cringe-worthy humour, the way the bad guys get caught up in the traps looks embarrassing.In this third instalment the kid is home alone 80% of the time, we see that his dad is going out of town on business and his mum is still around but she has to go into work, his annoying older brother and sister are at school and the old lady across the street (who doesn't like kids) is useless when it comes to trying to look after him, she was supposed to babysit and didn't even get that far due to her being lured away and stuck in a garage, clearly the kid doesn't need a babysitter, he obviously can take care of himself and then some!The acting is superb, the kid "Alex Pruitt" (Alex D. Linz) is actually a better actor than Macaulay Culkin (Culkin's performance was not natural, the majority of his lines sounded like he was literally reading them from a sheet of paper for the very first time).Home Alone 3 has a much more family vibe, it's because the family is still around a small majority of the time, the previous Home Alone movies didn't have that family connection due to the kid being at home and the other family members being in a different state and different country.Apparently Home Alone 3 never mentions the McCallister family due to some of the original cast not wanting anything to do with this third motion picture, regardless the previous family doesn't need to be mentioned, they're not friends or relatives of the Pruitts, they don't know each other, why would they be mentioned?! The only thing the Pruitts have in common with the McCallisters is that they both live in Chicago.The plot for Home Alone 3 is completely different, and they made sure the bad guys were different in every way which they are, they also added a female bad guy, it could not be anymore different. The bad guys in this cine are more entertaining to watch as opposed to "Harry" and "Marv" from films 1 & 2.The Home Alone 3 traps and stunts are much more slapstick, the traps and stunts from Home Alone 1 & 2 look a lot more realistic, but that shouldn't be the only thing to be taken into consideration when reviewing a film.Home Alone 1 and 2 are difficult to watch, the traps are too extreme and the films are just stale. Home Alone 3 is still watchable to this day and is overall a more colourful motion picture.

eduderocks182 I loved the first two home alone movies. I loved Kevin. Macauley Culkin was very good in them. I loved the burglars, they were hilarious. I heard nothing good about this one so I never bothered watching it. Then a few days ago while I was in class my teacher put it on. No one in my class was laughing. That kid annoyed the hell out of me and that stupid parrot. I hate that parrot so much. He wasn't funny at all. He was probably the worst thing about this movie and that's saying something. I don't agree with animal cruelty but I just wanted to snap that parrots neck. What actors actually read the script and thought " this is funny and it's as good as the first two i'll do it". And why would John Hughes want anything to do with it. Macauley Culkin must have felt so insulted after seeing this. I wonder if Alex D Linz regrets this movie. Just imagine being Alex D Linz and looking back on this.

witster18 This is a small step down from the first two, but it's still above average. It's definitely not Alex Linz' fault - he's nearly as good Culkin here and nearly makes this a 'good' film. The story is both more implausible AND more interesting than the previous entries. The problem here is that the final 30 minutes is a little scatterbrained and we start to miss Pesci and Company, AND some of the higher production values of the first two films. Sad too, because Linz and the set-up for the film are as good or better, but overall don't believe the hype that its as good or better than the previous two. First of all, its not. Second of all, the fact that its even close, especially given the new cast, is part of the reason its quality has been deceivingly escalated. Decent 59/100
