I could quite literaly feel my brains oozing down my intestinal tract as I watched this utterly irredeemable rubbish. Henry Cavil is particularly bad but John Hurt should've known better. Even the visuals are lazy '300-lite'.

The very first minutes are interesting, but soon the movie shows that it will be a waste of time and money. Why the scenario looks like a theatre stage? Why does Theseus fight like martial artists or Jedi knights? What the hell are those gods' bizarre golden helmets? Why it is so hard for Hollywood making films about Greek Mythology, which is much more interesting than their average action movie crap screenplays (a serious epic about Titanomachy could be awesome!)? Indeed, the film is entirely based in assumptions contrary to basic Greek mythology traits, such as the idea that the god may not interfere in human lives. As a matter of fact, there are obvious Christian or modern Western values mobilizing characters instead of ancient Greek ones. The films has many serious mistakes and just copy what all the other empty blockbusters do: excessive slow motions, generic motivation speeches, video game ultra- violence.

I'm getting so-o-o-o-o tired of progressives forcing their ideas of utopia upon everything, whether sacred or common. If the time setting for this story is supposed to be 13th century Greece, before Christ (B.C.), then I SHOULD NOT HAVE TO SUFFER seeing dark-skinned people who are obviously from the African continent holding cherished societal positions such as Army commander or High Priestess. The frank fact of the matter is that any person not of Grecian origin was far more likely to live our their time in the Greece of that day as a servant or a slave if they weren't lucky enough to successfully pass through Grecian territory. So, it more than strains credulity to see a Philippine woman serving in such an honored position as High Priestess MUCH LESS a Hindustani ACTUALLY SERVING AS THE HIGH PRIESTESS while there was available a presumable Grecian woman serving as her DECOY!!!! This remarkably ridiculous idea ranks in terms of scale AND SMELL with the similar idea of having Duane "the rock" Johnson playing in the role Hercules! Truth is what it is. History was what it was. We wouldn't accept a white woman or an Chinese woman acting in the role of Rosa Parks in a recount of the tale of Ms. Parks so what makes these people think we want this dribble or, perhaps more to the point, that we could benefits from a lying proposition?!?!? I agree with the majority opinion of this movie. It was an unfortunate decision on my part to invest the time that I did to view until its end. For one of the rarest of times in my life I AM SERIOUSLY ASKING THAT MOST FUTILE OF QUESTIONS: how do I get back the last two hours??????????I suppose it should be needless to mention but I will anyway: 0 stars out of 10.

at the first sigh, one of many cocktails of fake mythology and action movie. fights, revenge, the hero, Henry Cavill in a role who use more his body than his talent, Frieda Pinto as the extraordinary woman, the need of the savior.short, a classic illustration of a genre who use old ingredients for a kind of cultural fast food. but, after Troy or 300, Immortals is not a real surprise. only entertainment, a show of special effects and strange characters with old names. far to be about Theseus, it is only a large show who propose well known scenes, battles and final. a hymn about the force and wise and courage of a man against gods and temptations. impressive images, brave gestures and a lot of popcorn for supply the inaccuracy .
