aryannagaraju We have another movie from Universal Pictures and Working Title. So well, I would not have the agreement why this movie is a masterpiece, Camera Angles are good, Acting and everything, more blah blah blah and everything is okay. You would not correct this, because it is a good movie, Good job. CHARACTERS are the main thing to tell, So, Let me show you!🚶🏼LETS GO!Rowan Atkinson as Johnny English - A stupid spy, Who is hitting and punching the wrong person and coming to wrong buildings as well, Also, He has a different friend.Tim Pigott Smith as Pegasus - Wait a minute, Pegasus is a women in the second movie? What a bullshit thing in this movie. 😅
stormhawk2018 "Johnny English" (essentially "Mr. Bean Becomes a Secret Agent") is everything that you would expect from a Rowan Atkinson spy film. When a bomb blows up all of England's competent MI7 agents, the only agent left alive is Johnny English. Few things go right during his missions throughout the film and when they do, it is usually by accident. Even though Atkinson is best known for his classic Mr. Bean character, I think that his physical comedy is even funnier when paired with his dry delivery of dialogue. Plus, there are several moments when you can't help but picture Zazu from "The Lion King" delivering the lines! From his fight with an imaginary assailant to his slurred dialogue after accidentally drugging himself , Atkinson's comedic genius breathes life into this otherwise run of the mill spy parody. One of the most unexpected pieces of this puzzle is that Natalie Imbruglia is a surprisingly good actress (and gorgeously hot!!). I assumed that her fame began and ended with her one-hit wonder song "Torn" but after seeing her act, I would love to see her in more films. I also have to throw John Malkovich's name out there because he always makes a great villain! I appreciated the use of Handel's "Zadok the Priest" to give the coronation scene a sense of authenticity and Robbie Williams' song "A Man for All Seasons" left me in a great mood during the ending credits. The critics may not have liked "Johnny English" but this goofball spy parody is an enjoyable break from dramatic movies that take themselves too seriously.
Fudge-3 Enjoyable comedy that will have you smiling often and make you laugh out loud once or twice. Not the first James Bond comedy rip off and won't be the last either the possibilities are too fertile. There have been better parodies though - David Niven for one.Comparisons with Rowan Atkinson's other creations are unavoidable. In this movie our hero is played like the Black Adder of Season one. At times a wibbling oinker but at others insightful and ingenious. He manages to mess his own plans up every time yet still gets to be in the right place at the right time. He drives really well but accidentally presses the eject button at the most inopportune moment - you get the idea. It isn't Mr Bean. Not a must-see movie but if it comes on you can put the remote down and relax.
dan.adams In "Top Secret" Val Kilmer sang,"How silly can you get?" This dumb flick answers his question. Beats me how so many good actors get raked into this "time-waster" sort of movie. It barely has a plot. What it has stumbles along and is disjointed(I'm not talking about Mr Bean's acting either!) If a production team wants to take the proverbial out of the "Bond genre",how about doing it with a super smooth well-mannered nit from the David Niven stable? Rown shows a flash of brilliance then descends to Lou Costello tricks!Hard to believe it cost 35,000,000. In all movies of this kind the baddie really gets to strut his stuff. John M.s evilness was just enough for "family consumption" Lorna whats-her-name from Interpol gave a formula performance that would have satisfied the Bond production people.Talk about a curates egg!
