avanzato777 This was a complex plot line of a boy who needs to test his limits and find his inner beauty. With the help of some unexpected friends, he achieves that goal, though he is called a FOOL in the process. I would recommend this movie to everyone. It has great directing as well as acting. The props, scenery and special effects are out of this world. Mr. Tim is the bomb. Tom TIT tot is so cool.. Max should learn some new spells other than SMOKE in the sequel. This was a great movie overall.. I saw no flaws in this movie whatsoever, but haters will hate, and baters will bate. Graters will grate, and naters will nate, and traitors will trait. Phabulous job!!! I hope to see a sequel soon.
green_pup_24 OK lets get started. For one, I'd like to say, this is the worst movie ever made! When I first watched it, I laughed my head off. It's like, so bad, you actually laugh. So if your feeling sad, watch this movie! This movie is about a boy named Max. He does magic tricks, and is friends with a lame mouse. He's bullied at school by boys who think there cool but really are stupid. The acting is so bad, it's a wonder why they made this movie into a real movie. Like, HELLO! Can't you see this movie is sooo bad, it's funny? That's not a good thing. Anyways, Max runs to his neighbors house and he gives Max a book. He said, "I'll always be watching you Max" or something like that. Can you say, Stalker? And his mouse friend comes alive when they enter the magical world. This stupid mouse won't stop laughing! And his parents are like total opposites! The Dad is like, "Sure son, you can have a wild mouse as a pet" He didn't really say that. And the mom is like, "No you cannot have a wild mouse!" And a funny part in the movie is when the queen is talking to Lord Dagda. The person who plays the queen is the person who plays Max's mom. Di9d they like run out of actors or what! This is the worst movie ever made. But watch it cause it's so freaking funny!
mrgrgtaz2 Hello.I encourage anyone who has not seen the film to watch it and judge for yourself. It has the flavor of "Harry Potter"; "Lord of the Rings" and "Stuart Little". I played Tom T. Tot. I have been in the the acting business quite a while. I have found that there is a type of review you may need to be wary of - the one that is totally negative or abusive. It turns out that sometimes other film makers or actors who are jealous, deliberately write bad reviews to make their competition look bad. They realize their product is not as good and they "poison the well" before anyone has had time to drink. I get no residuals or perks and I am not afraid of criticism.Anytime I watch the film, I am entertained. My understanding is that when the market was canvassed it was well received by 8 to 10 year olds, especially girls. Younger folk like it as well. I enjoyed making the film. I will not comment on my own performance, other than to say the director & writer were pleased and it makes me nervous watching me play this frenetic character - but that was the whole idea anyway. In general, I am told I am most kids' favorite character. I appreciate that because I work hard to entertain. Parents have told me that their kids re-watch it. What greater praise can a actor who does a kid's film receive than that the person with the least longest attention span, is so entertained, that they want to see the film again. But you watch it and judge for yourself.I am not going to comment on every actor, but I think Tim & Princess are very good and the mouse is very entertaining. The prosthetic make-up is superb. The plot is cohesive. The film quality is good, if not better than many other independent films I have seen. The fight scenes are well choreographed and believable. Although the other make-up is good and the acting in general gives the film a storybook feel. Hey it is a kid's film! The special effects are primitive but highly effective. I think it is the adults that want all the bells and whistles but the kids are satisfied with the simple and let their imagination do the rest.Note: The Queen & Tim's mother are not the same actress as some have alleged. The sound was "recorded" live and then re-dubbed two times. It turns out the sound "engineer" delivered a product of which nearly all of it was unusable. He never received a screen credit it was so bad. After we dubbed in the sound, then we had to do it again because someone lost/deleted the copy. For something that has been dubbed twice, I think it is a spectacular job.Your continued "balanced" comments about my performance and the film are welcome. If anyone would like to offer some constructive criticism as to how I could have performed better or what I should have done differently, I am all ears (pun intended).
rexdog9 Don't pass this up if you've got A) kindergarten-aged kids and/or B) aspirations to someday grab a camera and enter the world of film-making. This film will satisfy on both counts. On the one hand, it's a solid G-rated film that won't bore the crap out of you, and on the other hand it won't bore the crap out of you because the production values are so low. Bad edits, cheesy sound effects, poor syncing, bad acting, bad special effects, bad direction, this film has it all, planting hope in the breast of any armchair director. And my kids couldn't care less. The film is solid enough to capture their imagination and moves through a story line. What is interesting about this film is its flashes of integrity. Dagda's (Ken Mitzkovitch) vocal performance will make its way into your water cooler chat. His makeup is superb, and so are many of the other characters' makeup. Villains are villainous and heroes are virtuous. Lighting is good throughout. I was continually reminded that someone was taking this thing seriously as it was being made, which sadly is not the case with much of the crap being turned out by directors who are much more connected than is Mr. Summerfield. This is what low-budget indie starter films are for. I look for him to get better and better.
