The lack of appreciation that MegaFault has been accorded is a travesty, showcasing the failings of today's society. Ever since I first saw this film, years ago, my life has been changed for the better. Who hasn't had to outrun a giant earthquake that causes telephone poles to explode violently? Who hasn't wept slowly in slow motion while in a helicopter? Who hasn't suddenly realised that they are melting into the tarmac due to a erupting super-volcano?This is the first film to properly explore these pressing matters, too long ignored or dismissed as 'unlikely' or 'pretty stupid'. People rate this film 1 or 2 stars just because the plot is terrible, the acting laughable, and the special-effects are as if made by the abandoned love-child of Michael Bay and a pile of human faeces created by a camera man with Parkinson. These people simply are too weak, too narrow-minded, to appreciate its artistry.When that porta-potty exploded, so did my close-mindedness. Racism and war ended, peace overcame my mind, and I finally achieved enlightenment. 9/10/

The film is dreadful, corny, poor acting, full of clichés, bad fx -- just awful. I watched it all the way through because I loved Brittany Murphy, and I was intrigued to see whether it would improve. No, it got worse and worse and finally disappeared down a sink hole. For God's sake! Didn't anyone SEE how extremely ILL Brittany was? Her face was gaunt, hollowed out, eyes deep, lips falsely pumped up, her body almost a skeleton which was emphasised by the very thin-legged pants she wore. She seemed lifeless, just mouthing her lines, not emoting, so sad. She was totally MIS-CAST in this movie of course, but probably was in no shape to appreciate that. The film came out about ten weeks before she died. The real megafault is that no one apparently assisted her! Surely, if necessary, the producers of the flick could have FORCED her to seek medical attention?WHY? WHY? WHY didn't someone help her? Such a deep and terrible tragedy. And her husband died shortly afterwards. God rest their souls.

Wow, that was bad, bad, bad. It was one of those movies that was so bad, that it would be faster to list what was good rather than what was bad.The bad - acting, writing, plot, character development, SGI, basic scientific principles.My favorite idiotic comment was when the military man proudly exclaimed that the enemy wouldn't even know that a satellite-induced earthquake was actually an attack (as opposed to an act of God), since the "ice turns back into water". Um, don't you think that they would notice the GIANT COLD BEAM coming out of the sky??!!?? The good - Yep, just like some parts of a standardized test, that line "is intentionally left blank". No redeeming qualities at all. I can't even justify giving it a one out of ten. I was forced into being that polite because the system won't let me give the score it deserves.Suddenly, Howard the Duck doesn't seem that bad after all.

Shocking acting to a dull and predictable plot with truly appalling special effects. Were they trying to make the worst move ever? I didn't know anyone did special effects this bad any more; especially surprising when you consider what Monsters just achieved on a low budget with a laptop.I watched Megafault having enjoyed Eriq La Salle in ER. It is very sad to see him in such a poor movie.Sometimes movies are so bad they can be funny, but this one insists on taking itself seriously.At least my wife and I enjoyed trying to outdo each other in describing who terrible Megafault was, but it would have been better to just turn it off.
