Mithya is a movie produced by Prof. Arindam Chaudhuri and through his films he shows his creativity.I really like the way he presents his films.Mithya, a tragi-comedy , is film directed by Rajat kapoor. Rajat kapoor has really impressed in this movie though he didn't act in it..the story starts with showing how a simple man VK (ranvir shorey) tries his best to really make a mark for himself in the film industry. while attempting to really prove his mettle VK the simple man get caught into the web of murky underworld politics.This is the movie which shows the madness of all the characters in the movie,especially Ranvir Shorey.The story of the film is very different and its after a very long time that I saw a film like this one.

Mithya,a movie directed by Arindam Chaudhuri,who is generally called as a Management Guru and known as the best marketing guru.This is the best movie i have seen.If I talk about the story,The movie is about VK (Ranvir Shorey) is a jugadoo junior artist who lives from day to day. He is working as an extra on a movie which stars Sonam (Neha Dhupia). Not surprisingly, VK likes Sonam from afar. However, his existence is very peripheral and after one really bad day he decides to go to the seaside with his adhia of whiskey and a glass that comes free with it. He finds himself witnessing a shootout between two rival gangs. He goes to the police and finds the gang of Gavde (Naseeruddin Shah) on his tail. He is abducted and finds that he is the spitting image of Raje, the rival Don. Gavde plans to kill Raje and implant VK in his place, to finish the gang from inside.

I would rate this film as 8 out of 10 and would recommend every cinema lover to go and watch this film. I am sure you will be glad that you watched this film. The movie is about the life of a struggling actor VK (Ranveer), who finds himself in the middle of a gang war just because of his looks. This movie has a lot of twists and it will be unfair on my part to give away those here. In one line, the film is story of a guy who finds himself at the wrong place in the wrong time and how that changes his life.The best part of the movie is Ranvir Shorey, who is superb in double role. He plays the comic sequences and the serious ones with equal conviction. And the next revelation is Neha Dhupia, who also acts this time impressively.

Mithya is a superb film with a really different storyline.Rajat Kapoor has made a very brilliant comedy with drama and suspense.The co stars in the film Ranvir Shorey,Neha Dhupia and others were superb. Special mention about Ranvir because the first time I saw him in Mithya and he is superb.He plays the double role of VK Aggarwal and an underworld don Rajebhai.He is brilliant in the film.For me he is the best in this film and his fans should not miss this film.Mithya, is a wonderful and special because at certain instances the common man can relate to the characters of the film.The film is special because of Ranvir's brilliance in a double role.If you like movies with stories with difference,then this film is a must.I am sure you will enjoy it!Over all the film is a thorough entertainer and Rajat Kapoor as director has crafted it very well.
