Al McCord is hanging out at his favourite restaurant when he meets an attractive young woman (Ellie) who is looking for a ride from the city out into the Mojave Desert, where her mother lives. Little does he know that while Ellie is falling in love with him, he is falling for her mother (Julie), despite the nearby presence of Julie's boyfriend who seems likely to go berzerk at any moment. Even more strange, hilarious events follow and it's up to Al to find some explanation. His life may never again be the same.

Je re Its full of clichés and full of parody but the plot is not predictable... which makes this a passable, meandering, not-quite-sure-what-next film. There's some amusement here, but not enough.The two turn-offs: 1. Jolie and her allure are a big part of the movie... but she is mismatched with Aiello. A much older guy or gal is fine, so long as they still match in attractiveness. Aiello isn't handsome enough for there to be any plausibility with Jolie. The promiscuous kissing, particularly between those two, gets a yuk from me.2. The shootout scene where nobody can hit anybody and the garage guy doesn't have to take cover... is too extreme a parody in the context of the film. Taken to that extent of silliness in a movie like "Airplane", it might work. In this one it just knocked me out of the film... with mutterings or ridiculous... destroyed any suspension of disbelief... and had me deciding whether to find another DVD. I did persist - and had just about forgotten it by the end - but without that scene, the movie might climb a whole star.

cdvictoriablack I haven't seen this movie, but in fact, I am going to watch it tonight.It seems that most people do not like this movie. I am going to watch it to the end, just to see my beautiful angie.I don't care how stupid, or horrid the movie is, I know that she always picks parts for a reason. I love angie so much, and I've even been told that I look like her. I here that she likes women that resemble her, so Ang, if you read these....come get me please!! heheheI have seen every movie of hers, except this one, and the new sky captain movie, and I can't wait to see that one.

nightgeek i feel compelled to warn others of this monstrosity of a film. it is honestly the worst movie i've ever seen. there is absolutely no point of the movie other than to be strange, but it's all pointless.. it leads up to nothing and following the whole movie is torture, because the filmmakers assume that 1. you care about these ridiculous characters 2. you're finding the whole style of the film charming and endearing. i didn't and i doubt anyone could. this is a waste of film, end of story

mtullo01 I tried watching this. I really did. But there just wasn't enough plot to hold it together, and the things that happened were just ridiculous in the extreme (two thugs robbing a gas station in the middle of nowhere?). The women are oversexed, the guys are stupid, and the minor characters (Boyd, for instance) keep changing their personalities like in a soap opera. It's also riddled with typical Hollywood jabs at rural/Southern life. There are no characters you can root for -- everyone is using everyone else. Dark, unfunny, disposable flick.
