There were a couple of great takeaways I got from this film. The first was a description of Munna Bhai's (Sanjay Dutt) real profession as a gangster - that of a 'loan default prevention specialist'. I think the Mafia could learn something about softening their strong arm approach by using a term like that. The other idea that came across rather successfully was the concept of a Magic Hug. That was reinforced a few times throughout the story for a positive effect. Other reviewers here on IMDb mention the American film "Patch Adams" as the basis for the story line in this picture, but not having seen it, the thought that came to my mind was another Hindi film, " 3 Idiots". In that picture, the message that came across was about believing in one's self and doing what you really want to do with your life. In this one, Murli Prasad 'Munna Bhai' Sharma is shamed by his past and decides to make his family proud by becoming a doctor instead of pretending to be one. Additionally, as regards "3Idiots", there's also the conflicted relationship between Murli and the dean of his medical colllege, who's daughter serves as a romantic interest for the ex-gangster.The film's best moments appear whenever Murli's unorthodox, humanistic and compassionate side reveals itself, as in his treatment of the near comatose wheelchair patient Anand (Yatin Karyekar). His ability to make friends with everyone he comes in contact with serves him well when the Dean attempts to formally rusticate him from medical school. You know there was only one way for this story to end, and it does, with plenty of magic hugs to go around.

The film is wonderfully crafted. The film is combination of great comic timing by Sanjay Dutt playing the character Munna Bhai and a little romance and some emotional moments. Circuit played by Arshad Warsi done an amazing work.The music is good. Rajkumar Hirani (director) is a smart film director and made this film so wonderfully that one can relate to the plot. No body can able to hate this film as it is so good.

MUNNABHAI M.B.B.S. is worth watching movie. Moments that you carry home after the show has ended. Rajkumar Hirani's strength lies in the fact that he has extracted wonderful performances from just about everyone in the film, not just from the principal cast.The screenplay could've been tighter. The film has engaging moments in abundance, but the goings-on could've been concise towards the second half. Dialogues are commendable, especially the ones delivered by Sanjay Dutt and Arshad Warsi. Cinematography is good. If VAASTAV was a turning point in Sanjay Dutt's fluctuating career, another film that will make people sit up and notice his talent is MUNNABHAI M.B.B.S. Known as an 'action man' all through his career, the actor proves with this performance. He is lovable as a bhai, aspiring to be a doctor and equally impactful towards the end when death snatches away one of the patients (Jimmy Shergill). A good performance undoubtedly!Sunil Dutt is such a pleasure to watch after a hiatus. The small but significant role remains etched due to this veteran's expert portrayal. In fact, this is the second time the father and son have starred in a film and the moments they share on screen look straight out of life, especially the hug (jadoo ki jhappi) in the climax. Gracy Singh is first-rate, delivering a controlled performance. The actress is getting better with every release. Jimmy Shergill & Boman Irani is also good.

At the box-office, the emotions interlaced with light moments should ensure a victorious run for the film. Business in Mumbai territory should prove to be the best. Dialogues are commendable, especially the ones delivered by Sanjay Dutt and Arshad Warsi. The witty one-liners and the local lingo should go down well with the masses. Cinematography is flawless.From the writing point of view, MUNNABHAI M.B.B.S. has so many high point. The sequences between Sanjay Dutt and Arshad Warsi all through the film are thoroughly entertaining. The camaraderie is simply fantastic. The pace of the film drops slightly towards the second half. The film can do without the romantic track, ' The songs Chhan Chhan. Besides this song, the film ought to be trimmed by at least 10 minutes to make the goings-on crisper
