lisafordeay Muppets Most Wanted is a sequel to the 2011 Amy Adams and Jason Segal flick about the muppets who reform after years of not being together anymore. This time however there is no Amy Adams or Jason Segal in this flick. Instead we have Ricky Gervais as Dominic Badguy who of course is the bad guy in this movie (hence the surname) who works for a Kermit lookalike named Constantine who switches places with Kermit who ends up being sent to Siberia in a prison held by Tina Fey(with a terrible Russian accent btw)as Kermit has a fake mole glued to his face and everyone thinks that his the mastermind Constantine. So now Constantine is pretending to be Kermit in order to get the Queens crown, the Muppets travel to Berlin,Dublin,London etc with Constantine/Kermit. But will the Muppets notice that Kermit isn't well Kermit?Overall this was an OK sequel to The Muppet's. I prefer the 2011 one to be honest as it was better and this sequel was sorta all over the place for me.Keep your eyes opened for the following celebs: Tom Hiddleston,Bridget Mendler,The guy from Austin & Ally,Puff Daddy,James McAvoy who all make cameos in this film.
Eddie Cantillo Muppets Most Wanted(2014) Starring:Ricky Gervais, Ty Burrell, Tina Fey, Steve Whitmire, Eric Jacobson, Dave Goelz, Bill Barretta, Matt Vogel, Peter Linz, Tom Hiddleston, Salma Hayek, Ray Liotta, Kenneth Collard, Pamela Betsy Cooper, and James Pasierbowicz Directed By:James Bobin Review TAKING THE WORLD BY FARCE You know I actually did very much enjoy the first movie with Jason Segal and Amy Adams, and I'm not even that big of a fan of Jason Segal when it comes to his movies, but I however did not want or was interested in a sequel. The film revolves around The muppets while on a grand world tour, The Muppets find themselves wrapped into an European jewel-heist caper headed by a Kermit the Frog look-alike and his dastardly sidekick. The movie does not achieve it's goal, at least not for me I did not have fun with this movie,I was bored for the most part but I did like some of the songs, which is a very good thing cause I never usually like the songs in a musical. The story is not really that interesting, it feels like a Muppets special or something, I liked the first Muppets because it was about two fans one who had a girlfriend and the other who really wanted to meet and help The muppets and be with his best friend. The performances are kind of straightforward and bland, but I did like Ricky Gervais and Tina Fey, however everyone else is just muppet voices which is just kind of straight-forward. The direction is surprisingly well handled, I liked his approach and the idea with the comedy, but the writing I just couldn't get into it. All the elements of a good are not present I didn't feel that invested in what was going on or in any of the characters because this is franchise without consequences for the muppets , everything is just going to turn out fine in the end and it's really boring. I give it a two and a half out of five.
italianredneckgirl I grew up loving The Muppet Show. I learned from Sesame Street, which I called 'Nesame Street.' Jim Henson was a brilliant man. But, this latest in Muppet movies lacked, well, everything. The basic plot of someone, a nefarious Kermit wannabe, stealing Kermit's identity and carrying on as Kermit, despite obvious accent and behavior quirks. The Muppets didn't realize anything was wrong. It lacked imagination. A sentence I never would have put in conjunction with Jim Henson before. The plot wasn't engaging, was slightly more adult than it should have been, and was lacking Muppet charm. Tina Fey, worth her horrible accent didn't help matters much. Ricky Gervais was horrid. All in all, just skip it.
slightlymad22 After watching "Muppets Christmas Carol" and enjoying it a lot, I was just in the mood for more of the muppets. fortunately this was starting on another TV channel so I eagerly started to watch it, in a great frame of mind.Plot In A Paragraph: Kermit the Frog and his friends are approached by Dominic Badguy (Ricky Gervais) to go on a world tour. Unknown to them, this is all part of an evil plan of Constantine, the world's most evil frog, to become the greatest thief of all time. After making sure that Kermit is jailed as himself, Constantine impersonates him to use the Muppets' tour as cover for his scheme. While Sam the Eagle and Inspector Jean Pierre Napoleon (Ty Burrell) investigate, Kermit desperately attempts to escape.Unfortunately it was not of the same quality of "Muppets Christmas Carol" and I found myself bored a great deal of the time. Despite an endless amount of cameos Salma Hayek, Celine Dion, Danny Treo, Tony Bennett, Sean Combs, Lady Gaga, Zach Galifianikis, Chloe Grace Moretz, Frank Langella, Ray Liotta James McCovoy and Christopher Waltz, Debby Ryan and Loki himself Tom Hiddleston.Outside of the cameos the only adult entertainer to amuse me and keep me amused every time he was on screen, was Modern Family's Ty Burrell.
