jlthornb51 Terrifying horror film which children should not be subjected to viewing. Pinnochio in this motion picture treatment is a horrific creature, murdering and merciless, and disturbingly menacing. Rosalind Allen gives a powerful performance as the mother of a child who insists on keeping a serial killer's doll and is mistakenly allowed to do so. The consequences of weak parenting has terrible consequences for everyone and in this way the film serves as a dark cautionary tale for parents who succumb to easily to their child's whining. There are some seriously frightening sequences and some of the imagery will haunt viewers for some time.
thesar-2 This movie, Pinocchio's Revenge, is so blah, I purposely failed to do any research on it prior to reviewing it. I even questioned if it's a sequel, though I can't imagine that being any better. I'm still not sure, and I still don't care. No one should see this waste of time.Apparently some parent buried a doll (look out Chucky fans – there is no comparison, even to weakest Child's Play entry) with their son, and once resurrected after a Shocker knock off scene, the doll now rests with a new child. Mischief ensues. Obviously.Well, I don't know what's worse: the acting, the dialogue, the hilariously bad special effects, or the fact that I, so ill with the flu, couldn't get up to put a real movie into my DVD player and had to settle for the Freezone on my OnDemand cable network. Before I knew it, I was at the point of no return; I might as well have finished this dull, pointless and extremely slow paced movie. Quite frankly, I didn't think it would get any better (it didn't) but then again, I was sick, so I just let it run.And that's what you should do: run. Don't even bother. And if there is a part one, skip that one, too. Watch the original Child's Play and then jump to Bride of Chucky. At least you won't make yourself sicker, like I did with this crud.
catfish-er A Tampa Police Officer wearing a State Trooper's hat. Stark Prison, where Florida keeps its death row inmates, IS NOT on the coast of Florida. An electrocution, with no wet sponge on the prisoner's head, before they put the metal bands on his head. A basement in Florida. Are you kidding me? There are like 4 houses in Florida with a basement. Not to mention the plot holes, on which others have commented. Was the daughter insane? Did the doll make her insane? Was the serial killer covering for his son? Did the son kill the other boys?If so, then the movie sort of makes sense. However, I thought the doll turned into the dead boy; not the daughter. Oh, well it was so insane and messed up at the end. Who cares?
ibanez747 This movie is just plain dumb. Don't bother watching it; believe me, you're better off.Long and short of the plot: a defense attorney represents a man who murdered his son and other children. In defending him, she comes across a wooden doll of Pinnochio. She takes the doll home. Pinnochio is possessed and begins to start killing people. This movie moves very slowly only to have such a weak ending. The plot is very bad and the Dennis Michael Tenney's musical score is pitiful. The story, written by Kevin S. Tenney, is just pointless and evokes NO horror or fear. This is a far cry from his work on Night of the Demons and Witchboard, which are decent outings but nothing to write home about. His directing is OK, but with such a bad story no one could have made this movie any good.In conclusion: 2 out of 10, perhaps the blandest, most boring movie I've seen all year.
