ldomegan If im ever sad I just watch Ratatoing because its so stupid that is so funny. The long long noses are the best and its so pathetic. Anyone who thinks this movie isn't pure comedy then they can drown.

gavinwrivera This is a ripoff of Ratatouille. Ratatouille is 7 times better than this! The animation is horrible. Everything looks dark and mushy. I would kind of like it if the animation was better and the characters weren't rats, so it wouldn't be directly copying Ratatouille. But no! They decided to be lazy and copy a good movie. They weren't even trying to be good! Luckily, Video Brinquedo went bankrupt. I hope they never do something like this ever again. Why is the restaurant called Ratatoing? It sounds like someone can't pronounce Ratatouille, so they put bounce sound effect at the end. Rata *bounce* Not only did they ripoff Ratatouille, but they also ripped off the Mona Lisa! The Mona Lisa!

carolcrawford-36301 This movie is horrible. There are so many things wrong with it that I can't fit them into this box, so I will just say the main things. First of all the animation is so bad. Someone could make a better animated movie in their mom's garage on an old computer. Some of it is creepy ( almost all of it is creepy!) Towards the end of this movie there is a scene where a cat is chasing the mice. The cat is so disturbing that I almost ran out of the room in horror! Sometimes the cat is running on it's HIND legs. Some movies can pull that off, like having the animals run like humans. But this movie was no where near acceptable for that. It was horrifying. To top that off, the cat was like 7 inches tall, super fat, and it's mouth went into it's neck - and to have that thing running around on it's hind legs, you can see why I thought I would have nightmares. Beside the horrible animation, you have to recognize that it is a complete rip off of Disney's Ratatouille. The only reason that they couldn't sue them is that on the cover it says 'inspired by Disney's Ratatouille.' Ugh.The script, ugh, the script. And the voice acting, ughh. There is no emotion and no enthusiasm in the voices. The movie doesn't make any sense. The script is why nothing in the movie could ever make sense. And the plot, you could barely tell what the movie plot was, and half the movie is devoted to them standing around talking with the costumers, ( then again the movie was only 40 minutes long!)The movie's ending didn't make sense. Like the cat became his friend or something and they got food. I can't even explain what the ending was because I DON'T KNOW WHAT THE ENDING IS! It didn't make sense. My advise is don't watch this movie. It is 40 minutes of your life that you can never get back.

Horst in Translation (filmreviews@web.de) "Ratatoing" is a Brazilian 42-minute animated movie from almost 10 years ago and the makers of it clearly wanted to cash in on the success of Pixar's "Ratatouille" with this one. However, the only thing that really resembles the American movie is the title. Yes there are rats and it's also about restaurants, but other than that the story is completely different. I am not saying this is a good film, not at all, but it's also not a complete mess like some are acting as if it was. The weakest aspect is maybe the animation. I must admit that this looks like some fan-made movie with a graphics program and this is certainly a massive flaw. But there are good aspects as well, such as the voice acting. i saw the original is in Portuguese and I cannot refer to that one, but the English dubbed version is really not that bad. Still, all in all, I have to give it a negative verdict. The characters are simply not interesting enough and yeah, the animation is pretty horrible. Not recommended.
