Michael_Elliott 30 for 30 Shorts: Robbed (2014) Muhammad Ali and Ken Norton were to meet at Yankee Stadium on September 28, 1976 for their third match but outside the streets of the Bronx were a complete mess. The police were pretty much on strike and this here allowed the local gangs to run out of control and they were able to do anything they wanted, which included robbing the rich people who showed up to see the fight. While all the robbing was going on in the streets, inside the ring Ali was being torn to shreds by Norton but the decision led to another robbery. I will start off by saying that this story certainly deserved a full feature length version because there's just so much that was going on during this crazy night in the Bronx. It would have been great to have heard from more people but what we do get here is pretty excellent stuff. There are interviews with a few of the police who were there that night as well as a couple sports reporters. It's clear that there was craziness happening both inside and outside the ring. We get video footage from the fight itself as well as some of the stuff that was happening outside and you can only see what it was like in New York during this period.Episode: A+
