quintinv-97334 I was not impressed by this movie in any way, shape of form. The dancing was all over with very little logic in the sequencing and it might just be me, but I got the idea that they aimed for each individual to try and be better perceived than the next, instead of dancing as a group. The group sync is supposed to be the best thing about the dancing scenes and the only ones where they were any good, were at the final routine. The acting is VERY bad in this movie; not just execution but the approach to some of the characters are weak to say the least. The 'macho' attitude is also overdone once again, in the beginning sequence where the team splits up cause they simply can't do it anymore. The main character does then not even attempt to contact his old crew to ask them if they want to participate in the competition. This does not make sense at all and was an element they could rather have left out of the movie completely. I watched this on DVD and have to admit that I found myself forwarding chunks of the movie so I could get to the end quicker.
Prem wagle Wow for and step up movie this is what we have already seen in previous installments. With slick choreography all too often interrupted by feeble attempts at plot, Step Up: All In would be more fun with all of its dialog's edited out. Dancers struggling to make a living with dancing. Haven't we had lots of it in step up.Step up was all about surrounding its lively and kinetic dance sequences but in this movie there aren't so special places like in revolution only dance sequence that made me feel sits an step up movies was Moose (Adam Sevani) taking them to his office for shooting video to enter The Vortex. Other were just the lame stage when dancers dance like its a reality TV we are watching (Unfortunately the vortex was a reality TV show.It seemed like dancing seemed to fade away in every step up sequel. I Personally felt the dancing wasn't so good as previous installments (Not that it was so bad just didn't lived up-to the hype that i was hoping). All in wasn't completely all in. and it could have been a lot better than it was made so don't spoil the next installment with the same generic story as always if there is going to be any.
brandiialize My review is totally different from other's opinion. I absolutely love the Step Up franchises. My favorites are Step Up (1), Step Up Revolution and now Step Up All In. I love all dancing movies, but this franchise I love the best. Especially because Channing Tatum started them and Ryan Guzman is now in the last two. Love these two young men, they can dance their butts off and do it well.**If you haven't seen them yet, and you really want to see some good dancing, if you don't look at anything, skip to the Finale of Step Up All In. Love the choreography. Well worth the money to go (100 times) and now to see the DVD.I couldn't wait for the DVD's, so I can look at them while working at my two jobs. I supported 2 and 3 by buying the DVD's, but view 1, 4 and 5 weekly. So yes, I disagree with the other reviews, bring on as many as you want for my viewing. Love it, Love Ryan and Channing. (^:^)
Nicole C I'm not sure how they keep popping (pun intended) out step up movies, but here's another one! I actually think I only watched the first two and maybe a little of the third, but for sure did not watch the fourth, and now here's the fifth! I guess the plots for all movies are quite similar and not all that unpredictable, but hey it's a dance movie so I guess I should focus more on the dancing element.Really what all these shows are doing are just changing the main actors and tweaking the plot a little. I'd rather see familiar faces and follow them along then unknown people becoming the main characters. I know this Sean character was introduced in the previous movie but I did not watch that. To me, it's not a sequel if they don't follow the same characters. But I guess they do bring along the supporting dancers and tweak their stories a bit too. I was a tad disappointed at not seeing Alyson Stoner dance much though.I feel like the first movie was the best because it showed a more classic side of dance and the rest of the movies show more of a hip hop/ popular style with a lot of facing off and acting tough without any real reason. It is still entertaining I guess, it just doesn't feel like there's a passion or motivation there it's like, "here's a stage, add some props and dance."Anyway, there was some cool stuff in here. It's pretty hard to come up with original dance concepts and moves so props to them. The mad scientist thing in the lab was pretty well done and looked really cool. Go Moose! And actually the end move was pretty epic too, though it did look a bit fake. The acting was pretty mediocre overall. There were lots of parts where it felt awkward and too scripted, and the emotions didn't get across so well. The plot was also easy to follow along and I guess predictable, but that was to be expected. And I know I said to focus on the dancing element, but if I wanted to watch dance I could just go watch a dance channel on TV or search on youtube. This is a movie and movies need plot and acting, those are like the basics of a movie.Read more movie reviews at: championangels.wordpress.com
