joeflemming The Farrelly brother's stuck on you is a decent watch simply because of the bizzarity of the premise. As you'd have guessed this is a story of two brothers who are co-joined at the hip. The film is surprisingly decent despite the feeling that the jokes will fall flat or worse- offend. And this is down to the talent of leads Matt Damon and Greg kinnear. This film is mostly forgotten and that is because it isn't anything special.
Python Hyena Stuck on You (2003): Dir: Bobby Farrelly, Peter Farrelly / Cast: Matt Damon, Greg Kinnear, Eva Mendes, Cher, Wen Yann Shih: The one problem with this film is that it's not as funny as it should be. It is like Peter and Bobby Farrelly have caved in to the controversy surrounding the vulgar humour in their films. Among their best work is Kingpin and There's Something About Mary. Yet this film is touching in its presentation of friendship of brothers joined at the hip and work in a fast food restaurant. Matt Damon has a romance over the Internet whom he hasn't informed of his condition. He also suffers from stage fright when Greg Kinnear wants desperately to be an actor and receives opportunity. Tension surfaces when the possibility of separation occurs and the possible dangers. What truly comes across there is the reality of their handicap being highlighted as normal. Cher is fantastic playing herself struggling to break a contract only to have it turn around and backfire. Eva Mendes provides laughs as an airhead actress who will obviously end up with one of the boys. Wen Yann Shih plays another romantic interest to the Damon side but she doesn't realize until too late, why they are constantly together. Well made comedy that isn't quite on the same level of humour as previous Farrelly brothers films yet it still works. Interesting comedy examines deformation and friendship that holds everything together. Score: 9 / 10
Desiree Stuck on You was a pretty funny idea but I just wasn't sure if they would be able to pull it off. Honestly, I wasn't looking forward to seeing this movie at all because I thought it was going to be dumb and full of stupid humor. I was so wrong. Never judge a book by its cover people. They really pulled this film off. I was pleasantly surprised. The jokes and puns were clever and original. I laughed throughout this entire movie.I was amazed at the team work between Matt Damon and Greg Kinnear. They had great chemistry. I can't imagine the amount of practice it took to perfect the coordination to make this movie in one piece. There was a random, unexpected fight scene stuck in there. It was very impressive and unexpected for this type of movie. I really appreciated the contrast in background music as the fight was going on. The moves were very cool and funny but they made the intense fight far less intense which was a good thing because this is supposed to be a light comedy. They were successful at keeping the light feel of the movie even though asses were getting kicked.Matt Damon is an excellent actor. I always realize this when I see him play a variety of roles. He is quite talented. He is often known for his good looks and charm but he is able to play the innocent, cute dork too. I like that about him. He is always able to transform himself into the character he is playing. That is talent.Overall, I really enjoyed this film. I was surprised at how much I liked it. It was quite funny. It was perfect for a quiet night in with a friend and a big bag of popcorn.
Gordon-11 This film is about a pair of conjoined brothers who are the best of friends. one of them goes to Hollywood to pursue an acting career with unexpected results. The scenes of how they live their lives are very funny, I particularly like the scene of Matt Damon in a raincoat while Greg Kinnear is in the shower. Maybe conjoined twins really live like this, but if not, it's great imagination. How each brother has to hide another is hilarious. Cher's role and Meryl Streep's cameo are also delightful. The Farrelly brothers usually make some gross but funny comedies, but there is really something about "Stuck on You" that warms people and make people laugh.
