The Movie Diorama
You see that alliteration right there? There's more creativity and originality in that sentence in comparison to the whole film. Oh. My. God. It's just a montage of scenes from other horror films. A disgusting excuse for a production company to release such an atrocious piece of cinema. A young couple move into a new house, which I have no idea how they could afford, where they start experiencing 'Paranomal Activity'. A 'Ghost' that has a more 'Insidious' agenda compared to the likes of 'Casper'. Rather predictably, it is revealed to have a 'Grudge' against the boyfriend who took part in an experiment to communicate with the afterlife. Turns out the supernatural are no longer 'The Quiet Ones'. Honestly, and I mean this with full sincerity...the only redeeming factor was the occasional scene that gave me 'Goosebumps'. Everything else was an atrocity. Stan (bless him...it's not his fault, much) and Greene had no chemistry whatsoever, no idea why this 'Sinister' 'Poltergeist' wanted to waste their time 'Haunting' this incredibly dull couple. The first act details their daily lives as they shop adventurously in CostCo, to which they debate on purchasing a tent. A tent! A God damn tent!? Should've bought a 'Ouija' board, am I right? The scares are non-existent and most certainly will not make you 'Scream' with fright. The demonic entity seems to bathe in 'The Darkness' to which the scariest action it performs is turning the 'Lights Out', or messing up a girl's wardrobe. Also seems to like growing mould around the house...such an inconvenience, 'Dark Water' would've been more effective. The narrative consists of repeating a chore (taking out the rubbish or installing security cameras), then a "scare" and then pretending it's not a ghost even though they know it is...literally loops this structure like it's a 'Ring'. The dialogue is lifeless like a bunch of 'Flatliners' and convincingly has no 'Pulse'. An unforgivable excuse of a horror film that made me both angry and sleepy.

I watched this film and expected to see the apparition was possibly headless nick played by John Cleese as malfou was in it lol, so the problem with these cinema fantasy horror films is your helplessly unable fight back but the simple answer is if your going to use a cinema fantasy supernatural malevolent fictional character then you simply need to counter balance it with a supernatural exterminaters the ghost busters !!

Not a great movie if you are watching it expecting to get scared. This has really no horror factor. The beginning starts out interesting and then it gets hokey. I mainly watched it due to Sebastian Stan being in it and I like watching him, but man, he could have done a better film. That's okay, he's shirtless enough so it makes up for it.Ashley Greene, sorry Twilight fans, is not a great actress. Shes very pretty so I figure that's why shes in this movie. They are an attractive couple and it's a good thing they are, if they weren't, I'm afraid I would have turned it off way before I finished. I like the premise of the movie, interesting concept, but the special effects could have been much better. IMDb is making me write at least 10 lines so now I am just filling up space because honestly, I can't say anything else about this movie.

What a diabolical waste of time. I should've known better really, I didn't like Tom Felton in any of the Potter films, and his "acting" once again failed to engage me. Same with Ashley Green, I don't understand how she gets work, she's terrible. She spent most of this film walking around like she was high, with a dopey expression. Even when her boyfriend was being harmed, she was like, "meh". I love a good ghost story, and apart from one or two slightly creepy moments, there was nothing at all scary about it. I'd even started browsing the net on my phone it was so boring. I understand the need for suspense but it can often take too long to build up, and all these two seemed to do was wander around their house in ultra slow motion. I really didn't care what happened to any of them.
