delaneykimberlin Now, I had heard great things about this movie for a while now. Dylan and Britt have such chemistry throughout the movie. Unlike some movies, the two just seemed like they were being themselves. It did not look like they were acting.
Lauren I had been waiting to see this movie for a while and I don't feel I was let down. I love Dylan and Britt, and they work really great together. The movie was written very well in my opinion, and showed really just how awkward and hilarious being a teenager is. I really would've liked an epilogue of some sort at the end to wrap it up a bit better, and tie up the loose ends. I also would've liked some more information on their backgrounds in how their characters developed. All in all I did adore this movie, but there were definitely things that could've been better.
jasminebaxter17 I began this film with the same amount of hope I have for any teenage romance comedy: not much. I was expecting a few witty quips, some tolerable acting, and a quietly unique take on an overused story. Apparently, this was too much to expect. While the story was fresh, the timeline was too fast, making the film too unrealistic to enjoy. The acting was, well, not good, and if I ever see another change my mind, stop in my tracks, and turn back around, I may vomit. The film is called 'The First Time', but the sex-talk was unrealistic and wasn't integrated into the film and its characters well enough, and the amount of time spent revolving around the topic of sex was not enough to warrant a title. Overall, it was too unrealistic to enjoy.
marianajb Yes, this movie is for teenagers, kind of a chick flick; and probably that is why I enjoyed so much; but at the same time, the movie has some very good aspects; like screenplay, and soundtrack, anyone who listens to the soundtrack of this movie, simply falls in love with it. Is one of those movies where you get "all the feels". Also production is fine for this film. But I have to give a little bit of credit to Britt's character, Aubrey, I mean even her name is different, she is different, and like that, but I don't mean like some weird hipster or something like that, she's kind of antique, and what is more important is that she doesn't care is everyone is doing something, e.g. a Facebook account. If she likes it she'll do it, but if she doesn't she won't. I loved her attitude. The movie itself is good, it is enjoyable (more if you're a teenager and having a similar situation).
