Sure, I'll be the bad guy! I know it's PC to think girls can kick guys' ass, but let's be real...no. That's the premise of this movie. Buff and even mediocre built guys are scared of a petite girl that threatens them. Mind you, the buff, incarcerated guy has obviously done some bad stuff and he's supposed to ne scared of this girl that threatens him? Uhhh...no! Then the quiet, meek guy is about to see his best friend murdered and this same dainty girl threatens him to take no action and his friend is killed. Uh...what? The the meek guy is killed because of this same lame dame and he comes back as a ghost-ish! (Probably the only creative element in story). Essentially, she's responsible for his death...so you'd think he'd hate her. Duh! Well he does until he follows her around (invisible) and the sees she's nice to a little brother that they are both harshly treated by a father. But that pales intro comparison of when he follows her to a night club and sees her dancing by herself. Then..! It's boner city and he forgives her for killing him and wants to help her help him! Sound lame? Then this is the movie others are rating high!!! Wtf?!!!

That THE INVISIBLE is so obviously a film aimed at teenagers (and full of 'teenspeak' and the like) is one of the main problems it has. It's also not an invisible man story, which I couldn't help but be disappointed by, but more of a ghost film with a twist. Director David S. Goyer seems to be a big name in Hollywood these days with his scripts for superhero movies, but this is more in line with the Full Moon Pictures fare he started out doing.Justin Chatwin (DRAGONBALL EVOLUTION) is the bland hero who suffers a violent fate at the hands of some local drug dealers and is thus trapped in a kind of limbo state, much like in the (better) GHOST. Honestly, his character isn't so bad, but the stakes are kind of low and I didn't care much about whether he lived or died. The whole hanging-around-people-grieving thing is rather clichéd while the mystery and detection aspects of the narrative are poorly handled.Worst of all is supporting character Annie, played by the cold Margarita Levieva. The viewer is supposed to invest in her character as she undergoes some redemptive character arc, but I couldn't stand her from beginning to end, and the end is just cheesy by the way. So no, this attempt at making a LOVELY BONES-style fantasy film for teenagers has too many problems to be a success.

Dan Grant i totally agree!When i first saw the trailers i was psyched to see this amazing adrenaline rush of a movie about a boy desperate to solve his own murder before the clock runs out but instead we got nothing...at all.He knew who killed him he knew where his body was and there was no creepy old man i think we were cheated out of what had the potential to be a gr8 movie i mean it wasn't so bad that i had to shut it off but it was not at all what i wanted to see but i gotta say i did feel a little bad for his attempt of murderer lol but even the fact that he felt bad for her sucked i was very disappointed and sometimes i think about it and just wish some 1 some where will make that movie that was promised to us in the original trailers

when i first saw the trailer for invisible i thought it was going to be a thriller/mystery movie.i was wrong.but i liked it.the first thing i noticed about invisible was that the soundtrack and the movie really matched with each other.some of the scenes were really beautiful. justin chatwin as nick did a great job.in my opinion hes one of the most underrated actors of our generation.rest of the cast was amazing too.it wasn't thrilling or funny,but it wasn't boring to me.the main appeal of this movie to me was acting and dialogs.the invisible is not a great movie,but its a good movie with good acting and a nice story about lonely people.it had its flaws yes,including below average special effects,but that didn't ruin the movie for me my rating 7/10.
