This movie pleasantly surprised me, I was expecting 2 hours of mindless action when instead I got a great movie with a unique story. This is just my kind of film I have said in the past that stand alone, interesting stories are the best kind of movies and this is one of them. A perfect amount of action blends into the question of did she do it?. This movie kept me guessing and kept me staring at the screen for 2 hours. However like all films it has its draw backs. It does include a couple of scenes that try to show a characters emotions but push it to unbelievable. But thats just a tiny nit pick. I highly recommend this movie.

Movie Review: "The Next Three Days" (2010)Initially being known in Hollywood as screenwriter of fixing high-end production toward decisive story twists, director Paul Haggis presents a fast-tracked U.S. remake of the French thriller "Pour Elle" (2008) in November 2010 to minor success at the domestic box office, even though the leading character John Brennan, performed by nerve-striking actor Russell Crowe, ready to give up everything for self-justice as suggested in an unfortunately cut-up scene with supporting actor Liam Neeson in a coffee shop, who explains the overall necessities of choosing a life on a run in order to bust out Brennan's wife from prison, portrayed by stone-cold chemistry unmatching actress Elizabeth Banks as Lara Brennan, in an accelerating thriller with an mainly hand-held coverage by cinematographer Stéphane Fontaine, who had been unable to stand apart with competent, yet indifferent lighting themes, which comes down to Paul Haggis' direction under pressure, missing out to find poetry in the visuals as in earlier directing efforts, despite one on highway climatic crash scene, where the leading characters answer the subjected question of what it takes to escape the ruins of an deceased family life.© 2017 Felix Alexander Dausend (Cinemajesty Entertainments LLC)

This is the best movie I've seen in 15 years. Maybe the rebel is due for a comeback . . . in the real world. This is the most anti-feminist anti-affirmative action anti-prison-state film of any time. Of course, at least two of those things are recent inventions to be opposed to. The drama and transformation of this protagonist from PW 'nice guy' to brilliant bad-ass is delightfully depicted. This movie is destined to be a classic love story. In terms of movie talk: this film portrays Pittsburgh as a beautiful middle class setting. If you're looking for stoic unhappy family relations then Brian Dennehey and Russell Crowe offer it up in spades. If you like action then just wait a while. And if you like pretty girls then: Elizabeth Banks and Olivia Wilde. Need I say more?

It is well known that Russell Crowe is the reason this movie was watched. I was personally disappointed about the title: 'The Next Three Days' because it denotes something not found in the movie.Similar with 'The Day After Tomorrow', a typical person would think its a horror film about an impending doom scheduled to take place at that time. The wife knew all along that she was innocent but in an act of fury implicates herself in the murder. That's stupid. She has a son out there. Did she care about her?She never made an appeal or told her correct side if the story. I found that to be dumb. We only learn about her innocence at the end but she knew all along. It seems as if she wanted to go to prison and put her family through a great deal of pain - and for what reason??? What did she want to achieve by staying in prison for a crime she didn't even commit???What's up with that? This part of the storyline really did not work for me at all.And she tries suicide later on....oh LAWD.
