digitalundergroundbc One of the greatest movies of all time. Where people go wrong is in thinking this is an entirely accurate documentary about Facebook, which it's not.
jetlu Social net work is about Facebook, but not the company, it's mainly about these two character Mark and Eduardo, the friend ship and conflict are great, and you really buy Jesse Eisenberg as Mark Zuckerberg, at least in this movie. I have no idea what kind of person is Mark Zuckerberg, but in this movie Jesse is Zuckerberg. i really don't think there is much flaw in these movie, i mean it is based on true events. The story is amazing, I love the way they tell the story through "flash backs" if you even can call them flash backs. It is very interesting that they over shadow the story with the reading of the law sue. Most of the time you will get bored or annoyed but the exposition, and this movie is basically full of that, it haves to be, but the movie it's not boring. My greatest concern before i watch these movie that is this movie going to be boring as hell, you expect this movie to be full of dialog, and scenes that just two characters with close up, cut to another cut, but it is not. I think they change the characteristics of Mark Zuckerberg from real life, not completely different, but different enough to makes this character interesting, because they have a very interesting story in hand, all they need is interesting characters. When they have dialog, the way they to keep us audiences interesting is to constantly change locations and scenario. Every time they give out important plot information, the scene is different, the location, the relation between the characters, the situation, sound in the back ground, it keeps the scene fresh enough for the viewers invested. But yet again, this movie is all about exposition, and there is really not much they can do about it, even it's entertaining, and the scenes are fleshed out, it still gets a bit bored from time to time, it's not at a point that is bad, it's just a little flaw of the movie that the creators really can't do about it, i really think they make the best out of it, every second of them hacking is extremely entertaining, from cuts to cuts, sound design, and the lighting, it is just beautiful. I said it before, this movie is all about the character, and they really did fleshed out these two characters. Everything that happened, you buy it, you believe it, not because it is real, it's because of you believe these characters would do such action. And i have to say, the performance is amazing, there is just one thing i like to point out, mainly because of the actor Jesse Eisenberg, he always do this, most of the characters he play, they all tend to talk really fast, it's not out of the character, but after seeing some movies, he talks fast all the time, I don't know why, but it's not wrong, at least in this movie. The clash of these two character seems so natural, the build up of the conflict and distance starts early all the way to the climax of the movie, and the impact was extremely powerful. And there are a lot of smart film making and writing. In conclusion, this movie is beautifully shot, and characters are great, the story is great, you can actually feel something after seeing this movie, unlike most films today, so I recommend people watch this movie.
virek213 Of all the Internet social platforms that have ever existed, Facebook is, and unless something better comes alone, will likely remain the best known. Initially a platform conceived by Mark Zuckerberg on the campus of Harvard University in 2004, Facebook was then later expanded to other Boston area institutions of higher learning, plus other Ivy League schools, and then to Stanford Univeristy, the latter which is, not coincidentally, located within driving distance of Silicon Valley. Zuckerberg founded the site with roommates Eduardo Saverin, Andrew McCollum, Dustin Moskovitz, and Chris Hughes; but as is the case with more than a few projects of this kind, Zuckerberg's ego got the best of him, and got him more than a few enemies in the process. This great saga of the Internet became the subject of the 2010 film THE SOCIAL NETWORK.Based on Ben Mezrich's book "The Accidental Billionaires", directed by David Fincher (FIGHT CLUB), and scripted by Aaron Sorkin (of A FEW GOOD MEN and "West Wing" fame), THE SOCIAL NETWORK stars Jesse Eisenberg as Zuckerberg, who, along with his friend Severin (Andrew Garfield), Moskovitz (Joseph Mazzello), and Hughes (Patrick Mapel), came up with the social networking site that started life with a somewhat grotesque name called "Facesnash", Eisenberg later changes the name to Facebook via a suggestion made by high-tech Silicon Valley hustler Sean Parker (Justin Timberlake). But those efforts come to enrage the Winklevoss Brothers (Armie Hammer; Josh Pence), who had come up with the idea that may have inspired Zuckerberg's moves. And then later, other moves that Eisenberg makes on his own enrage the guys who helped him start it, resulting in the young Internet genius getting himself into legal hot water. And, as we have seen of late, it wouldn't exactly be the last time both Facebook and its creator would end up in hot water, both legally and politically. With numerous flashback and flash-forward sequences detailing the rise of Facebook and the legal entanglements that Eisenberg must go through, many of which were of his own making, THE SOCIAL NETWORK is noted for a huge amount of expository dialogue that, as is the case with more than a few films done from Sorkin's screenplays, is delivered in rapid fire and often blackly comic fashion. But the overall impression, layered in with a great neo-futuristic score by Trent Reznor and Atticus Ross, is one of a feeling of uber-superiority on the part of Zuckerberg getting the best of him, and in the process, even as Facebook gains a billion-plus "friends" (as of 2018), making enemies for himself, mostly unnecessarily. And, as is the case with films like 2001: A SPACE ODYSSEY and WESTWORLD, to name just two, THE SOCIAL NETWORK is also about the rapid pace of technology outpacing our ability both to deal with it and not allow us to be thoroughly immersed in it. Eisenberg does a good turn as the resident genius Mark Zuckerberg, as do a lot of the other, mostly younger, actors in this epic film that will, in the future, be seen as a portrait of the world that was shaped in the first ten to twelve years of the 21st century.
doomdes I watched this film before 2 years ago i guess but i was feeling that i forgot it and i need to watch it again and now i'm really speechless and i wish that i watched this a masterpiece ever.. actully this film was pure and peerless and basically "David Fincher" are one of the best directors in like this films and specially when the film talking about some interesting subjects like this, textually the screenplay was too perfect and excellent and i know it's "Biography" film but the drama was very breath-taking and i've ever seen this film so now i'm really sure of my opinion it's underrated film and it's don't matter if he won in 2010 or not but the important thing is why people don't do justice to him? i mean this film was completely perfect with all ways.... Ok i should to say that the film is a masterpiece and absolutely i'll re-watch it again and again in some other time.
