Elisa Porquien I watched this when I was a kid (~10 yrs old) and I remember being so SCARED! For one I remember thinking it was a legit DOCUMENTARY! Now 12 years later! Its not scary or horrifying in anyway. There are moments where you believe your about to be scared out your seat but it just falls a bit flat each time.Looking at it again after so many years, I'm able to distinguish the acting as real or fake. The acting in this film wasn't the worst I've ever seen but it was very obvious that when it came to being scared or acting like being scared -- it came across as trying to hard or just too exaggerated.

Cujo108 A "Blair Witch" ripoff involving four people who go ghost hunting in a supposedly haunted Louisiana mansion. Unlike the gem it's ripping off, there is nothing frightening here unless you consider bad acting to be scary. This is truly a film where nothing happens. The only refuge from pure boredom is the occasional unintentional hilarity that pops up. For instance, we get some priceless dialogue like this choice exchange:"There's a dead bird." "How badly dead is it?"This thing is also notable for having what is probably the stupidest cat jump scare I've ever seen. I can't forget the bit towards the end where the group splits up, and the guy going into the attic keeps complaining about how scary it looks in there. The others then spend what feels like at least ten minutes trying to convince him to go in. How exciting!

fullbloodedkiller for all of you non-believers out there i have watched this movie 4 times now and every time i watch it it gets better and better this is a true story because i have been inside the real place now i don't have nothing on camera b/c I'm not the camera person type but yes i really have seen the inside of that place and everything that happened in the movie has happened before if you don't believe me email me and ill show you actual proof my email address is fullbloodedkiller@yahoo.com this is only for the non-believers its crying shame that all you stupid people that see a movie like this just jump to conclusions and say that this movie is stupid and its fake well if you don't believe its real then why don't you grow some balls email me and ill give you the address to the place and you can go check it out for yourself that is if your not too scared!!

billchristensen I really enjoyed this film. Sure it looks to be a Blair witch rip off but i think it's better. The camera doesn't make you sick and there is some genuine creepiness to the overall movie. It's all done with hand-held cameras by the actors in the movie and they do a pretty good job of breathing life into what could have been very stale characters. This is a great movie to watch with a couple friends or better yet alone while your in the dark. The ending rocks. The movie may be slow to some but to me it was interesting the whole way through and i was excited to see what would happen next. If you feel like giving it a chance you just might enjoy what it has to offer. A pretty good first two-thirds and an extremely scary third act that it just great. Give it a chance and maybe you'll like it.
