sameem-nazar Watched the movie for the movie score! but ultimately ended up with big disappointment! worst movie ever i watch! simply waste of time!!Dnt understand about the positive review!
markbyrn-1 From my vantage point, the definitive romantic time travel movie is the classic 1980 Somewhere in Time with Christopher Reeves and Jane Seymour. Sad to say, The Time Traveler's Wife falls far well short in comparison because while it has a bit of romantic sentimentality, it's bogged down by a terribly muddled and eye-rolling time travel element. The time traveler played by Eric Bana has a bizarre genetic condition that causes him to randomly jump back and forth in time like a ping pong ball. Each time he has to endure these time jumps, his clothes stay behind and has had to beg, borrow or steal some duds. He's also prevented from changing the course of events (e.g. preventing his mother from dying in a car wreck) but did manage to remember some lotto picks so his wife could win the lottery in the future -sigh-. They say love conquers but the time plot was simply too preposterous and confusing; if they have made it a farcical comedy, it might have worked.
thesar-2 With the exception of my bathroom mirror, I've never seen a naked man put on clothes this many times in my life. Luckily, none of my own incidences involved little girls lurking around. While The Time Traveler's Wife was well shot, had a decent score and an original take on time travel, the movie had some major flaws. Bad acting – mostly by the young daughter, misuse of a good concept, huge plot holes and suggested pedophilia were just a few examples. But nothing beats the worst of all faults… Zero chemistry. The entire film centered around two actors who not only looked like they were reading lines from a script, but also were acting towards a green screen and were hoping their ideal mates would be digitally inserted in post. Never once did I feel a connection between the two "soul-mates," and because of this, I could never get behind them or feel any of their anguish. It didn't help that they were just going through the motions of a typical Nicholas Sparks sob story. So, events happened, dialogue was spoken and I still just felt the pain of the miscast leads who clearly wished the other was replaced. Not to mention, while the thought of some kind of life-long love might have seemed pure to the author, it was just so damned creepy when this naked man would stalk either his future wife as a child or his own child later on. No heart, no soul, no surprises…No need to waste your time as I did. Especially since I can't go back in time to warn myself.
lisafordeay Now don't get me wrong I love a lot of fantasy movies and some time travelling movies(like Back To The Future was a good one),but when it comes to time travelling movies they have to (a) make sense and (b)not to confuse people. So what is this movie about well its about a man named Henry(Aussie Actor Eric Bana)who is married to Claire(Rachel McAdams) and they have been married for a while now. But Henry has this condition where he transports himself back in time and if he can't control it his gonna basically die. The whole concept was terrible and the film was just so boring to look at. And like I said I love fantasy films(depending on what they are) and yes folks I even liked Kate & Leopold too(another film that has time-travelling as their plot device) but this film was just dull and crap.My advice watch something else that won't confuse you.3.5/102/5
