Recap: It's dangerous times for Reeve. He is one of the best vampire hunters around, but lately he has come up against strangely many vampires of European descent, and especially one strong that seem to be of royal blood, that killed his partner. There seem to be an internal struggle within the vampire ranks, to unlock an ancient magical secret. Now he got a new rookie partner Gypsy, and his obnoxious sister Helen has found this new sunlight shy boyfriend Kazaf. Now Kazaf got his own problems, he is the last vampire prince, and a prime target. Everything will boil down to a big showdown.Comments: Promises too much and has too high ambition when it tries to stun with spectacular effects that it doesn't has the skill or budget to really pull off. The vampire story is just another pretext for a martial arts movie, but it works as well as any other story. What kills the movie though is the introduction of the character Helen. She gets slightly better as the movie goes along, but by then the damage is already done. She is really annoying, obnoxious and seem to has lost the ability to speak, just going around screaming. She is no better than a petulant three year old. And that's no treat to watch.Jackie Chan, is however, and he saves the movie somewhat, even if he introduces a kind of comedy that doesn't fit with the rest of the movie. But he is fun to watch. But all in all it is an average movie, it is entertaining enough to pass time when nothing else is on, but I wouldn't choose it before anything else.5/10

Great vampire action film with Jackie Chan. Well directed although not by Stanley Tong who usually directs Jackie's films.Really cool action movie where super-Jackie Chan adds his usual spectacular kicking and acrobatics. This one, contrarily to the average, actually HAS a plot, and the acting is not as bad as in other movies. But going to the full-show style, few excellent scenes including some wonderful fights against the vampires. Very funny, super butt-kicking and super-Jackie!Jackie Chan is the future of action films said Luke Perry and I agreed with him them. It proved right.

Fun mix of vampires and martial arts is a bit of a mess plot-wise and the acting of those who dubbed the voices is almost universally bad, but the premise is engaging, the fight scenes are fast and flashy and the movie is often quite amusing. It's a shame the story is such a wreck. There are a couple of places where I had no idea what just happened, it was almost as though five minutes had just been cut out and you were suddenly at the next scene without knowing how you'd got there. The movie is poor at explaining things and some things don't make a lot of sense, but the movie moves along breezily so its flaws barely register. Not a great movie by any means, but definitely a fun one.

Well don't expect anything deep an meaningful. Most of the fight scenes are pretty decent. The two leading ladies are quite endearing but their lack of HK action background shows at times. The ending maybe lacks something but I quite enjoyed it none the less. The cheesy humour isn't probably going to appeal to anyone who hasn't watched a bunch of HK films but if your down with that sort of thing and have a couple of hours to fill with something meaningless you could do a lot worse than this. (OK so you could do better but.......)Certainly on a par with most of the Hollywood blockbuster action drivel.7/10
