Reviews

Ashleigh Miller I thought this film was really repetitive all the way through which was rather annoying and made me a little bored. It did make me laugh however and I thought that the ending was rather cute. Not the best of Adam Sandler's movies but a film which I would watch again
Destroyer Wod I know Adam Sandler is not the most popular comedian, at least if you take a look at the scores and reviews of his movies. Yet personally i always enjoy them, even when i am unsure i will due to a trailer that is not so convincing, i still end up having fun. Now sure to be in the mood to watch an Adam Sandler movie, i need beer, and as Jeremy Jahns would say, its a better time if your drunk. But i don't see it as a negative personally. Yes this movie is very similar to other Sandler movies to a degree, there is the same toilet humour and slapstick but i don't know, i laugh so bad in part to stuff that i know is not original or super funny in itself. For instance there is a character that just keep laughing everytime he speak, and i know its stupid and on paper its not that funny, but i kept laughing with him anyway because the situation make it funny ! When i tune in for an Adam Sandler movie i just want to turn my brain off and have a good time and thats what happen. I would say tought that this movie does have a little bit of a deeper side to it as other reviewers said. Remeniscent a bit of Mr Deeds or Big Daddy in a way. Its not just toilet humour and slapstick even tough there is a fair share of it.Anyway i would definately recommand to watch it, but follow my advice, grab some beer before, be with friends, put yourself in the mood for it.
rmcne888 Yes it's cringeworthy, yes there's subtle stereotypes, but this really was an enjoyable movie. If you've ever had to participate in a family wedding, you'll relate. I thought Chris Rock & Adam Sandler did great. It's not for all Sandler & Rock fans but I like it. Even cried a little!! Relax people!
cyorke-34660 I am a big fan of Adam Sandler movies, (Click, Big Daddy, Happy Gilmore, Wedding Singer, Bedtime Stories, Grown Ups, That's my boy are some of my favourite movies) but this movie just isn't funny. I chuckled now and then but really I lost the plot of the movie very early on and couldn't get into it. Unlike movies like Infinity war, they couldn't work with as many characters as there was present so a lot of characters you don't remember their name (even the main one for me) and this movie will definitely be forgotten the day after you watch it Final conclusion: Don't bother with this movie. It's just a boring mess and something nobody will remember.
