Reviews

robsks What can I say that has not been said before me about this gem of a Film, There have been bad reviews about lack of depth, meaning and complexity. In these days of mindless violence, sex and car chases this Film is a breath of fresh air. It is beautiful as simple as that and leaves lots to the imagination that is real film making, like they done in the '30s, '40s and '50s when sex was not in your face and violence was a war Film with not much violence The ones that don't like this movie would be better of watching mindless garbage that is Mad Max Fury Rd and the like. This Film is a gem because it goes against current treads of no story line mindless sex and computer graphics being the 'star' of the show.
daysky Be forewarned! There were SO many F-bombs in this movie that I actually wondered if I mistook the PG-13 rating for R. After the first bout of five or six in a couple of seconds, I thought well at least they used up all their bad word count, but they must have upped the limit recently because the vulgar assault continued (completely unnecessarily) throughout the whole film. The movie wasn't bad, but it was no work of genius. So, if stuff like that bothers you like it does me, I would say skip this one. Though the story has potential, the ending leaves so many questions unanswered that the only thing you will be left with is blankety-blank $!!@*! beep beep echoing through your brain. And it's really not worth it, trust me.
Enrique Patiño I didn't see this movie when it arrived to the theaters. And forget it pretty soon. But what a great movie it is. I just saw it last night and was impressed and touched. The movie involves three different stories with characters that are all tied to each other in the same main big story, referring to a man who wants to be a great writer, the old man who actually wrote the story that takes the writer to be famous and the story of a writer who reads the story of them two. With excellent and delicate music and cinematography, wit a beautiful edition and direction, the movie confronted me with the decisions we make, regret, past, honesty, ethics and the limitations of life. Absolutely beautiful, it touched my heart.
neroofaysal I think the critics are harsh ..the movie was very deep and beautiful, Bradley cooper, Jeremy Irons, Dennis Quaid acted very beautifully ..but the end what about it ?! i didn't know for sure is that a twist in the ending or what ,is clay (Dennis Quaid) is himself Rory (cooper) and the old man is just made up so clay can relief himself and think that's okay and live with his choice ? i don't know actually but it is a great film indeed ... i loved the scene when Rory tell Dora that his life is not right and he was not satisfied about his life "after they were in a restaurant " this scene touched me, the movie is different have a brilliant story writing.
