The idea of seeing how a bunch of spoiled actors face the Apocalypse is interesting and the start of the movie gives a nice enough introduction in that regard. It's a little funny also.But, then things just get weird, in a sort of a failed parody of the disaster/horror genre. It's not very fun, funny, interesting or imaginative. There are about 2 good jokes in this "middle act". Obviously, much of this was supposed to be funny, but isn't. Like when Jay keeps saying the "The power of Christ compels you" ("The Exorcist" reference) to the possessed Jonah, to no avail.The end is better, mostly the music is better, there's a weird Backstreet Boys cameo that works, it's fun (though still not very funny) and it wraps the story in a nice way (as far as comedies go).It's a _big_ misfire (and a shame, really), not worth a watch - unless, of course, if you like misfires.

This movie was just terrible. It was supposed to be a comedy but I didn't laugh at one part, not one. The story is stupid and very dark, and this movie was so awful that even the Backstreet Boys couldn't save it.

Comedies don't get any better than this. The main cast couldn't have been better suited for one another; McBride, Rogan, Franco, Hill, Robinson, Baruchel, you get these crazy bastards together and things are going to get ludicrous and hilariously funny! This movie did not disappoint, not for a single moment. I found myself laughing so hard that I felt compelled to experiment to see how many viewings would still elicit laughs and it was at least seven and if I were to leave it on the shelf for a few months then slip it into the ole Blu-ray player for another go it just might work it's magic one more time. Rogan and his writing partner are comedy geniuses! This farce is a must see!
