gridoon2018 The best thing you can say about most of the matches of "Wrestlemania XV" is that they are relatively short (in the case of a boxing match, 30 seconds short - at least that's unusual) and they don't overstay their welcome. But too many unclean finishes, too much (bad) soap opera and too little actual wrestling make this a middling Wrestlemania. Obviously the main event, Rock vs. Austin for the WWF title, is the big draw, and after a draggy all-over-the-arena slugfest it does gain some electricity when it moves back inside the ring.
amanwhorocks 1. Hardcore Triple Threat match: Al Snow Vs. Hardcore Holly Vs. Champ-Billy Gunn - Lol at ending, Bob Holly won after Billy finished Snow. 7.5/10 2. Test/D'Lo Brown Vs. Owen Hart/Jeff Jarrett 7.5/10 3. Brawl for All-Boxing match: Butterbean Vs. Bart Gunn - 1 round match :D Big lol 6/10 4. Big Show Vs. Mankind - Mankind won by DQ and Giant Choke-Slammed McMahon 7/10 5. WWF Intercontinental Title 4 way Match: Champ-Road Dogg Vs. Val Venis Vs. Goldust Vs. Shamrock - Weakly scripted match with double Count-out and Road Dogg Old-schooled pin. 6.5/10 6. Kane Vs. Triple H - Chyna helped HHH and we have another DQ ending, but it's great, because they sleep together again, we're happy. 6/10 7. WWF Women Title Match: Champ-Sable Vs. Tori - OMG, that was really weak, probably the worst thing on the card. 4/10 8. WWF European Title Match: Champ-Shane McMahon Vs. X-Pac - HHH turned on X-Pac and let Shane got pin. 6.5/10 9. Hell in a Cell Match: The Undertaker Vs. Big Stiff Man - One of the worst HiC matches, because of that poor untalented Traylor. At least he didn't win. And hanging him with rope? That was sick even on me. 6.5/1010. WWF World Heavyweight Title Match: Stone Cold Steve Austin Vs. Champ-The Rock - Austin scored again. 7.5/10
DaveHasNoTimeForAnyOfThisBull For anyone who want's to see The Rock vs. Stone Cold Steve Austin I or Kane vs HHH I, see this Wrestlemania. The crowd reaction is awe inspiring and the DVD presents funny and interesting audio commentary by the Rock and Austin. Mankind(Mick Foley) also has such a large role in this Wrestlemania that all of his fans should enjoy it.SPOILER: HBK makes a surprise appearance to taunt Mr. McMahon before the main event. END SPOILERThe DVD also has character biographies and background histories on many of the wrestlers. I didn't buy the setup for the Sable-Tori match so that's one negative to it. The setup for Rock-Austin may be the greatest in wrestlemania history. Overall, everyone who's a wrestling fan should see it and I promise they will enjoy it.
ProdigyReinEngel How was this a "Ragin' Climax" between Austin/Rock when the two had a rematch a month later? Or was it a climax between Big Show and Mankind, who also had a rematch one month later? Wrestlemania is usually the turning point for WWF/E storylines, though with XV the event a month after, Backlash, was. Classic moments include: Undertaker's entrance, Mankind pulling a trick out of the Cactus Jack playbook and allowing Show to CRUSH him, Tori walking to the ring looking like her mother had just died because she had just found out she was losing, the Jarrett/Owen tag team and a sub par main event between Rock and Austin topped off with Rock's first overselling of the Stone Cold Stunner.**1/2
