Reviews

rasllan I loved Anne so much. She's resilient, She fights for the people she loves no matter what. She should rightfully hate the world for how it has treated her but yet her love takes over. Simply an Angel.
caitlinjesson So much story has gone into each of the characters
ashleerboylan I can't believe all of the terrible reviews of this show. It's an awesome show. I'm in my thirties. I've read Anne of Green Gables. It was great. But, it was also written in 1908 and it was one novel. Did you really think that nothing would be changed or added to make an old story into a new show that appeals to more people than just people 40 years old and up? I turned this show on thinking.. eh.. I have nothing else to watch. I was hooked from the start. The cinematography, acting and stories are beautiful. By the end of season two I feel so attached to so many characters. I think it's a fantastic show and I really hope there is a season 3!
lorilifeofworship I enjoyed the first season. The darker, grittier tone was an adjustment for me (having grown up a fan of the 1985 adaptation), but the choices made sense and grew on me. But this season the storyline was a bizzare mix of great characters and scenes, out-of-place modern references, and a stifling push of political agendas. I am all for displaying love, respect, and tolerance in media (much needed these days), but the way this was done was as subtle as a sledgehammer.
