Michelle-654-554040 Just a note that I'm not a slave, so I don't believe in politics & the worshiping of corrupt gov't.I happen to have loved "The Good Wife," so I thought this was would be a great show as the King's produced both shows.Unfortunately the show wasn't all that great in the end & they even used some of the same music found in "The Good Wife." LOLIt seems EVERYONE who gave it a high rating ONLY saw the pilot. I watched all of the episodes. Why ANYONE would rate something after seeing only one episode is beyond me.First, I don't like stupid humor or horror, so the whole grotesque parts of the show made me turn my head, plus it was just stupid.I get that they were saying that humans on both sides of the political spectrum are braindead (and they are), but towards the end they actually swayed from that point & focused more on the romance. They touched very briefly on how corrupt mainstream media & the gov't is, & how they get away with doing terrible things because everything is hidden from the public. I wish they would have focused more on that truth & all the false flags that are played out to make people afraid, but I got the feeling they don't actually know a lot about the dirty dealings the gov't actually does, or they were told by legal that they can only go so far.I think there was supposed to be 4-5 seasons, but it got canceled after 1.Whether that's because the EVIL CORPS that run hollywood & the gov't didn't like the truth in it, or the show just wasn't good enough, I won't ever know.
ReviewName It's not "best TV ever," but it is a light-hearted poked at how ridiculous our politics are today. The reviews that claim it only bashes one side or the other must not be paying attention, because they are hitting both. Either way, it is just a nice light entertainment piece. It won't change your life, and you do need to not take yourself so serious in order to enjoy it.
tony-57263 Superb TV. The production, direction, acting and presentation is simply excellent. If only all TV could be this way. I was hooked from the first show. But (oh, there's always a but), one soon realise that this is heavily evangelical piece. Supposedly a bipartisan laugh at both sides of politics, one soon realises that 99% of the baddies are on the Right and 99% of the goodies are on the Left. Endless anti-Trump jokes, (fair enough, its political humour) but not one precious syllable against the beloved Hillary – lest we take the Frau's name in vain?. Ababy kicks out violently when it hears Trump on the TV, OK that's funny, but how does it react when it hears the voice of Hillary – we will never know. There are a few naughty Democrats, but the real evil characters are all on the Right, and as thing progress, the writers abandon their veils of impartiality with enthusiasm. Of course, the hero is the Republican who realises his evil ways and betrays his party help the Democrats defeat an unjust, unnecessary and racist war. It is a pity that Amazon paid for an expensive piece of Leftist propaganda, and that the makers could not control themselves so that everyone could enjoy it.
westsideschl One star for the unimaginative and really bad science (I don't think the writer's/directors really care). 1. Just another in the long sublist of alien thingys taking over a human by crawling through some orifice. Customarily, in the past, it was a wormy looking thing entering through mouth or nose and sometimes an ear. So nothing creative in this scenario. Retread! 2. Alien ants happen to have all the features necessary for survival on Earth, in fact, they look just like fire ants already on Earth. So what gives? 3. They show up inside a meteorite which presents it's own problems of believability (but again, et al. above probably don't' care) such as surviving negative 300 to 400 degrees and the vacuum of space and all it's electromagnetic radiations (although Mythbusters did show that some roaches & beetles can withstand a brief high dosage of radiation). Then there's the several thousand degree entry heat. Anyway, our darling little mandible utensiled brain munchers would have to live inside their rock for thousands of years of extreme hazardous journey. 4. Finally, how convenient that their physiology is precisely adapted to Earth's atmospheric mix; it's specific gravity. No disruption to it's ant high-freq communication from household stray high-freq EM.Ten stars for the prescient spoofing of politics, and it's ugly influencing pimp - money, money, money. 1. Sadly funny portrayal of politics in never Wash D.C. 2. Spoofed how success in one area contaminates whatever it touches e.g. money gained through unethical (but, not surprisingly, legal) means turns out to be very apropos to this past presidential election. Success from business melding into politics does not imply character. A serial killer can be successful for a while, but lacks moral character. 3. The series title is not without purpose - Braindead, besides the ant munched upon type, showcases through burlesque/parody the characteristics of the already braindead elected types.
