Why is everyone hating on these gorgeous, hilarious and strong women? I get their humour and it's subtle and definitely not everyone's style. These women just keep getting better and better in my opinion. I love everything about this show and like every show ever, there's bound to be the odd episode that deviates from the hilarity that once was. I try not to be hard on women who are making in it whole heartedly and consciously because we need more of these types in the film/TV industry and these two prove it's possible.
Chappy Watched
I had heard of this show but had no interest in watching it and it wasn't until I saw the constant barrage of gifs on Tumblr so I decided to give it a go.I regret that decision now.I found it awkward and so very cringe-worthy. Aside from Abbi (Abbi Jacobson), I dislike every other character ESPECIALLY Matt, Abbi's roommate's boyfriend. EVERY scene, he annoys the absolute F*CK out of me!In terms of laughs, well I'm not too sure there were any in this show, there were a couple of chuckles but that's it.CHAPPY THINKS it would take an awful lot of money to get me to watch anymore of this.

This show has potential to be a really good show. I love the characters, the feel of living and being in NYC. The problem is the show is just not funny. I have to admit I got hooked on the show, but not because it was funny. The first episode, season 1 got a laugh out of me. This had me thinking this will end up being a good show. I kept waiting and watching. So many crazy things happen on the show that I found myself not being able to wait to see what happens next. Still not funny though. I finally got bored after watching season 2 episode 7. Just didn't care enough about what was going to happen next anymore. I'm guess this show is funny to some, but to not to me. The timing on the comedic situations are all wrong. Kind of like SNL.

As the title says, I had VERY high hopes before I finally watched the first half of season 1. Trailers looked good, reviews were splendid. What a waste of time. I've heard so many comparisons with shows I still enjoy or did enjoy, but Broad City falls flat in any regard. The show tries to land on a middle ground between totally FUBAR and relatable in your every day live and it achieves none. Seinfeld was your regular piece where you could relate. It's Always Sunny and Workaholics were your piece of mind if you gave up on all boundaries.Broad City is neither and even in the most dull sense, it still didn't have a single funny moment. The whole show seems to get credit for two girls being stoned and get around. But guess what... that ain't funny. That's as regular, hilarious and inspired as your train being late again. After the first half of the first season, it really seems like Big Brother. Not absurd enough to blow your mind, and even if they try, those are ideas we have seen dozens of times on other shows. And if they don't reach out for that, the girls simple aren't interesting and catchy enough to even bother. The only good thing I can say about this show is what some might consider the worst insult. They look kinda neat. End of it. Not funny, not witty, nothing new, nothing shocking, nothing to keep you hanging on.It's actually NOT about women can't be funny. Fey, Poehler, Dreyfuss, they all were/are great. These two chicks just surf on a wave, but they are inferior to all those that came before, whether we talk format or actress.
