I had the misfortune to watch their Argentinian episode, where they nearly buy a replica Bugatti. This was depressing - this show seems to be aimed at US couch potatoes who think that traveling outside the US is tantamount to risking your life. Discovery channel also seem to think that their audience has absolutely no idea what a classic car is. The ignorance on show is just laughable - the commentator described the Bugatti engine as an 'inline v8" (its a straight eight - morons). I guess that the production team are just as dumb as the intended audience. The macho bravado of their 'security adviser' constantly flagging up totally innocuous scenarios as if they were extremely dangerous got very tiresome, very quickly. This is what happens when you let less-than-intelligent non-car people make a car show. Absolute garbage - avoid at all costs.

This is the worst car show I have ever seen. It is entirely fake and really you only get to see a couple of minutes of car stuff, then the rest is scripted drama. The security guy Andrew McLaren was in the military at one point, but he is an actor. He was in Battle For Haditha, and a couple other shows. This show was a complete waste of time. I can't imagine someone giving this show a 10/10 rating unless they are affiliated with the show. I did watch the entire first episode because I had hoped that the level of fake drama would be left to the hiring of the so-called bar owner slash ex military guy but it just went on and on. Yes, it was completely amazing that they found not only an ex military guy, but someone that had already acted in movies and TV shows. What a lucky find! The whole section where they take supposedly very expensive cars through the worst part of town out in the open without checking the gasoline just makes them look stupid. But, no one is that stupid, so what's left is that it's glaringly fake.

I started watching this show thinking: "wow, a new show that takes us to foreign countries in search for a rare car in a hostile environment." But after ten minutes I lost all interest in it. What are the odds of finding a US mercenary working as a bartender in Mexico and willing to risk his life to "rescue" 20000$ and only earning 200$?Yeahp, the Mclaren character is a poor actor. When you see him looking around as to check if the place is secure or not, you totally figure out that this show is has real as WWE fights.Don't bother watching. It's a total waste of time. You don't see anything that really makes us petrol heads jump on our seats. Worst TV show ever.

No other show takes you to the slums of the world in search of valuable cars. If anyone has ever traveled to the countries that this show has gone to thus far, they know that outside of the tourist areas it can be really dangerous, especially when you are sticking out in high valued automobiles. The fact that this is the number seven ranked show in the United States on Friday nights speaks volumes to the greatness that it is. Obviously not every aspect of this show is worth a ten rating (some of the plot lines are weak and are really easy to figure out early on), but for an hour long show it moves fast and keeps you entertained the whole time.
