rakesh_raja39 This show is absolutely stunning. It's a show which really impressed me a lot.Neil deGrasse Tyson steals the show with lot of animations which explains how the universe works. Though it's through an imagination ship, it is so inspiring to know information which he have not come across. This show is best recommended for those who are interested to know about the universe. I am eagerly awaiting for the next season.
tankace Cosmos: A Space time Odyssey is the remake of the historic series of nineteen eighty with Carl Sagan. The host is Neil Ne Grass Tyson ,student of Sagan and the second coolest astrophysicist alive after Steven Hawking of course. In a sense this series is a homage of a student to his teacher as he is now himself a teacher. The series more or less show us the development of science and the mechanics of each field from gravity to black holes and what it took for the people who discover them or invent the tools in order to be these phenomenons understood, in short a amazing and at times touching journey through space and time. What can I say it was epic and still gives me shivers through my spine. As for the effects in the show mind-blowing and beautiful and event the animation as the portrait the events ,dispute its simplicity ,was so well made that you forget that you watch something animated! Finally the scope of the series was presented excellently by Mr. Tyson ,as all these changes and developments shows us our place in the universe and makes you in the end more humble.Over all it was a blast to watch and I recommended to everyone ,with a interest in science (psychics, biology, mathematics, astronomy etc.)
dominikgogaki Extremely irrelevant content. This series tends to focus on the biology of the Earth Also this show is awfully misleading and there are much more informative documentaries about the universe out there. Yes, the animations and CGI's are really impressive but that is nowhere near enough to make a documentary successful in terms of information and validity. Some things are also really simplified and not explained in a professional, trustworthy manner but rather in a childish way. Yes i understand astronomy sometimes has to be simplified for the understanding of the general audience but this simplicity was taken to an unbearable extend. Overall this series is both misleading and irrelevant in terms of the universe/cosmos.
slicemaster I see here comparisons with Sagan's Cosmos and talks about dumbing it down etc. Thees series are just not for You. I found a little new info for myself as literate person in thees series. I just watched a show. It is a Show! An excellent one! It is targeted to people who not that interested in science in the first place. For people who find Sagan's Cosmos slow and boring. If You want something really new and really deep go read a book! Leave it show to a "normal" people. Tyson is on a frontier of a scientific literacy of main masses of people. And he doing a good job. He maybe not that of a scientists himself as somebody blame him. I don't care if he is not. I don't need him for that.I saw this series and it was fun, refreshing and inspiring. I still re watching it, when I want to get certain mood. I showed it to some "normal" people, and they stayed under impression and found it amusing. I strongly recommend it for a family watch.
